No. I just found out about my autism this year but I finished my degrees in the 1990s. It's hard to believe how long I slipped through the cracks. I suppose no one looked for girls, and no one paid attention to my issues because I was quiet and read a lot of books. I was just a "good" girl, presumably. There were so many red flags that I'm upset, looking back.

How about you? It seems you receive some type of resource.

Unfortunately, when I was in school I had been misdiagnosed so, whatever resources there were I missed out on them.



Do you think that all autistic persons are a good fit for full-time work?

Yeah, I was allowed extra time on tests and to write in a quieter room, and could leave class if I got upset. In university, I still have extra time (though I don't really need it) and write my exams in a private room.

When you have a cold, do you stay in bed?

Depends on how I feel, but I would try to go about my day.

I love being able to stay in bed and snuggle when I'm not feeling well. I stack up on books, tea and lots of self-care whenever I can. That's not to say it's always possible.

Lazy Sundays, good movie, cuddling with my dog and eating good food, just relaxing.

No, I don't have one.

Oh my goodness. That's one of my autism things. I read the same books over and over endlessly (combination ritual / routine / obsession). I've read WH at least ten times, and Villette about eight. There are others that rival that number.
