Banana split, or chocolate sundae?

I've never really had them. They are overpriced, so I assume if they're really tasty I'll go broke wanting more

I've had Coldstones but I didn't see the allure.

I've never had a banana split. Chocolate sundae is OK if the ice cream isn't chocolate (hot fudge on some other flavour is preferable).

How was your day? Score out of 10.

They are overpriced, and not worth it, IMO. Go for a humble Viennetta, or a supermarket's own brand!

My day? 6/10. Didn't get much done. Plus ça change.....

How was yours?

I got a LOT done. Paperwork that I thought I'd never do, that has been on my mind for over three years. It took me a good ten hours to do two hours of work because I'm terribly disorganized with anything paper-related (I'm so grateful that books are bound, or I'd lose all the pages)

It wasn't fun doing my papers today but I'm giving it a 10/10 because I'm thankful and proud to be done

He was an assistant for his brother.

What was your mother’s father’s occupation?

Not sure, never met him. It was some sort of menial, packaging-related role in the cotton mill, I think.

Do you know anything about your family tree prior to the 20th Century, without looking it up?

My mother's father was an aerospace engineer for Boeing.
I think all the men in my family have been engineers of some sort.

I'm obsessed with genealogy. I could tell you all sorts of stories about my family from the Haworth region.

Did you ever see someone streak in the 1970s?

Only on TV (an incident during an England v Australia Test Cricket match, plus one at a televised football game).

Can you juggle?

The wine was lovely but I best not have another glass, or I'll go loco
In Uni Drama class, I had to learn to juggle while reciting a Shakespearian soliloquy. It was something about learning to speak and move at the same time, for stage work. Yes, I managed to juggle and this was pre-internet instructions!

Can you ski?

Not at all.

Do you know the expression “23 Skidoo”?

No, I don't. I even googled but it doesn't ring a bell.

Do you remember a show where TV stars competed in a type of Olympics against one another?
I saw it in the 70s and I'm pretty sure it was American.

The nearest I saw to that was The Krypton Factor, presented by Gordon Burns of Granada TV. Definitely not American.

Have you ever seen the UK TV shows University Challenge and Mastermind, and if so, how would you rate them?

That was the premise of Laff-a-lympics.....cartoon stars competing against each other in a sort of Olympics.

Nope....never heard of either one of those shows.

Ever heard of Sunrise Semester?

I've seen University Challenge. I find a lot of the questions very difficult. Maybe it's because I don't have a strong rote memory for discrete facts, or because I've been out of school too long.
