Does 17 characters in a six book series seem like a lot?

Granted, in my previous seven book series, there's over 100 characters...

No , the Bible has 3,237 different people

Bypassing the Bible before I start ranting, some very long series have over 100 characters, but my first series is a bit unique in that all of the characters are continual reincarnations of 8 specific characters that act as both creator and creation alike in the series' universe.

Sorry Kura , I don't read so couldn't give you a good answer , 17 main dudes over six books doesn't sound like too many

I calculated the full amount of words in my first series.

Wait for it...*pause for drama*

It would cost $1,133 to edit it, according to one editing service I found. Gah.

Book II and V are probably the ones that need editing the most, since they're the longest.

Book IV is basically a novella [17,000 words], and Book III and VI/VII are nearly the same length [close to 30,000 words, each].


In my second series, there's three characters [sort of] introduced in Book I, six characters introduced in Book II, five characters introduced in Book III-IV, and two characters introduced in Book V [one of the characters from III-IV is technically the same character as the hero of V--reincarnation-wise]. Book VI has almost every character all in one place as a 'lash hurrah' kind of thing.

What exactly does editing entail ?

I was referring to minor misdemeanors such as drugs when well dressed FooBar Incorporated was making strange comments in a store I freq when I had just purchased drugs about ten minutes prior. I don't remember what the man looked like cause of lack of eye contact but I said I like to play with fire referring to then purchased drugs.

See aren't nice, I don't plead the 5th, there was totally drugs up in here and apparently everyone knew but either A. Can not get a search warrant for reasons they were not there for or B. No one cares about drugs.

Yeah well, what are you gonna do? gov is MKUltra-ing it, I am sure I have done some deed less then great but I am still standing here saying nuke it to hell. I mean everyone makes mistakes, you go Illuminati high and start having people say things that happened your entire life and you really only have two options. You can go comatose or you can try and make as much noise as you possible can about the immorality of it and hope some one hears at the top. Remember FEAR is False Evidence Appearing Real... Not everything that is said about me is true no doubt but the spying and the lying and manipulation has to go.

^^True, but I'm also my worst and harshest critic, so I'm probably seeing problems where none exist thanks to routinely poking holes in my stories [no pun intended] and thinking that they're terrible.
