Some films by Alfred Hitchcock, such as North by Northwest and To Catch a Thief. Even so, though, nothing can beat those classics, IMHO.

I'd need to read Catcher again. I don't remember the sentiment, but it sounds reasonably accurate. Picasso said, "All children are born artists, the problem is to remain an artist as we grow up". So true. We lose our authenticity as we age.

Do you like scrambled eggs?

I like my eggs in any way, whether scrambled, or sunny-side up.

I've read and watched too many things that it's hard to answer. Maybe in a Joanne Harris novel like Chocolat.

Have you ever written fiction?

I've written a lot of poetry and a lot of personal narratives. I wrote some fiction in school, but nothing significant. I'm a good writer but I lack the confidence to design an entire novel. (I wish someone would tell me what to write, and I could write it and publish pseudonymously).

Ever watched films that tend to have ambiguous endings?

One of my favourite novels Villette has an ambiguous ending. I'd have to think about movies. I don't watch a lot of movies, but I'm sure there have been some which ended as such.

Do you enjoy books that are over 1000 pages long?

As long as the book is really interesting, then yes.

I don't judge a book by its length, but yes I've read several that are 1000+ pages.

My favourites are Thackeray's Vanity Fair (1847) and Eliot's Middlemarch (1871).

I like to learn about my ancestry / genealogy, or social history. I don't care about politics one iota except for its impact on people and places.
