Sloths, of course! Not only because they are so cute, but because I envy their attitude of not letting anything worry them too much.

What was your favorite out-of-country trip you have ever had, or if you've never left the country, what would you want it to be?

Agreed. I had a very good time in Brussels.

Is there one specific (calendar) year that was the worst year in your life?

I've never had a year which I would consider to be the worst in my life. I would have a list of experiences I would consider to be the worst. At the top of that list recently was my Mom passing away about seven months ago.

My sincere condolences, Magna. Losing a parent is extremely difficult. My dad passed away and I'm still mourning after many years. Talk to us whenever you need a friend.

Sorry about your mom, Magna.

Do you believe that people grieve in different ways---but that all ways are valid?

Thank you both, very much. I'm sorry about your Dad, Isabella.

I do think people grieve in different ways and all ways are valid provided there is a productive progression to some level of healing. The time frame for the grief process I think varies by person and a person should take as long as they need to grieve the loss of a loved one.

Happier question: What's your favorite season and why?

NOVEMBER! :) It should be its own season! I love November because where I live it's blustery, cool and grey in November. The snow clouds are heavy like a grey blanket over the world. The days get shorter by the ... day! Christmas is on the horizon and still exciting for me, as opposed to December -- when I feel rushed and I start to feel it's all become too commercial. In November I am like a kid in a candy store waiting for snow and Christmas and dark afternoons.

Same q.

Fall is my favorite season by far which sometimes can be winter where I live or fall can extend into November. I like cool temps and overcast skies. Fall is a time of bounty and beautiful colors. I get to wear my woolens!

YES! EXACTLY! 8) 8) 8)

I love wearing boots and fuzzy jumpers and mittens. I love overcast skies and the quiet of autumn. Most people around here hibernate at that time of year but it's when I come alive! Also, I read Wuthering Heights every year in November. It's my favourite book so it's exciting to light a wood stove and read while the wind howls.

Are there places that only exist as memories within your subconscious sparked into existence by various events.

when you'll be my age, (am i that old already?) lots of places of your past will not be there anymore, that's a bit sad imho
my old elementary, a robust multifunctional building bulldozered to put a prefab gardenhouse- sort of school
the old 'house' too, first the municipality forbade the sale when it was the parents, then some 10y later they bought it to demolish, now there's nothing

It would the area across the street where I once lived, which happened to be a vast thicket of wondrous beauty.Today it's nothing more than a housing subdivision as, there is no trace that nature had ever stood there.

Do you have to deal with people whom believe in the most outlandish things?

Well, for me it's having to deal with religious fanatics whom take everything in literal terms as it pertains to the Bible and refuse to believe that everything contained in that book is more myth than actual fact.

What sort of books do you wish you had a larger collection
of?

I wish I had a larger collection of first edition Brontë books, manuscripts, fair copies, juvenilia, poetry, drawings and diaries.

Or, that I had any at all.

There aren't enough bookshelves in the world for what I'd like to own.
