The legend of the Worry Doll because today was Mothers Day and my mom got a Worry Doll as a present.

Maybe not learned, but re-aquainted myself with the fact that people suck and can never be trusted nor relied on. I also learned loyalty never pays off. f**k the world. Thank you.

Just how much I don't know what is going on in the world around me, mostly because I avoid it as much as possible, including stuff that's close to home or even in my own city, but now I feel guilty because I've barely paid attention to the news about Fort Mac wildfire in Alberta while other people are seeing it all over the news and Facebook and everywhere else and if it happened in the States they'd probably have a TV drama based on it by now.

I had to learn to avoid such things in order not to be completely ridden with anxiety and depression. Like when Hurricane Juan hit Halifax a few years ago.

I learned that the place where my sister bought a Worry Doll is by our house!

It seems I'm still capable of trusting people.

I read that in some parts of India there is this psychosomatic "illness" called Puppy Pregnancy Syndrome. Its when people who have been attacked by a dog think that they have become pregnant with its puppies, especially if the dog was acting "sexually excited" in the attack. It doesn't matter what your gender is. People with PPS claim they can hear the puppies growling inside their belly or even see them when looking at the reflection, or may start acting like a dog by barking or walking on all fours.

Witch doctors "cure" PPS by giving the patient some oral treatment that is supposed to dissolve the puppies and then you just poop them out with. It's hard to believe that there are still people in this day and age that believe in such things that anyone with any education or half a brain would know that it's pretty well impossible to become pregnant with a different animal species because of DNA and junk.

But then again, there are people in this continent who believe in demonic possessions, ghosts, witchcraft, the world being flat...
