I confess that I'm supposed to write a paper about myself for tomorrow morning, and I can't think of a single thing (I've never had the ability to "sell myself"). I confess that at the rate I'm going (two sentences (that I don't like) in the past twenty minutes), I'll be here all night.

But, you're done, I think. For, I must confess that as I read this, the thought occurred that you should just turn in your blog postings. THAT would be AWESOME; I'd pay to watch the teacher's face as she/he read that essay. :P Do it! Do it!

EDIT: I also confess, the further thought occurs that this would be an excellent test... For the teacher. I used to enjoy pulling "outside of the box" stunts like that (often at the cost of my grades, depending on the teacher). A lot of my teachers disliked and resented me for not easily playing by all the rules. But a few were able to run with it, and by doing so they earned my respect. From my viewpoint, a teacher whom I don't respect has got no buisness trying to each me anything anyway. I confess, I also loved the irony of the notion of a student trying to teach the teacher something. [As a bizzare aside, my favorite teacher (Latin) had the same birthday as me. As an even more bizzare toss out to the inordinate number of youngish gaming geeks who love The Legend of Zelda series... Her first name was Zelda, which she used to let me call her when we weren't in class.]

Good fortune,

- Icarus the Sideways

I confess that it's a very tempting prospect... I really would rather not write this essay (I am so completely unmotivated this year), and using something I'd written before would work nicely. I confess it's unique enough that I couldn't be faulted for that... However, I confess that the prompt reads something or other about why I should be let into college (I didn't really pay attention; it's a year ahead of me anyway) and "I listen to the voices inside my head" doesn't seem to be too compelling of a reason. Somehow, turning in an essay about the demon doesn't strike me as the best idea. Still... It is really tempting. It would take some polishing and explaining, but I'm sure I could reasonably pull it off... She gave one example about the guy with the last name of "Weiner" and another about how cool his shoes were. Maybe... (Ha, I'm really, really considering this.)

I confess that I had planned on relating the story about how I moved from a school system which hadn't even started multiplication yet (3rd grade) to a school system that had learned all the times tables up to 12 and the teacher who expected me to learn them all in one weekend (she was infamous for giving out huge packets too) and ending it with some sort of mumbo-jumbo about being able to adjust well to change (which, in most cases, is not true, but it was for this one, in the terms of schoolwork). I confess it feels a bit too fake for me though; all I remember is sitting there with tons of papers around me and feeling completely overwhelmed.

I confess I usually do this to a certain amount in my English classes. Last year it was a long essay/complaint about how judgmental it was to call me goth and suicidal just because I was quiet (I was suicidal, but not because I was quiet, and no one knew anyway); the teacher was fine with it. The other English had a 20+ page story about a girl in a mental hospital who committed suicide ("It was like reading an adventure story. A scary one, but an adventure story."). The year before that it was a story from the point of view of a serial killer (with some random 3rd person solving stuff thrown in so I didn't get completely expelled); the teacher was cool with it, the other students (for the most part) were not. (We had to pass around our papers and the others marked them; I got four thousand "creepy" comments.)

I confess that I've only gotten in trouble for it in two classes; 6th grade I wrote everything about horses (my obsession at the time), until the teacher declared that the writings had to be about a set topic (school, for instance) that she picked. In 8th grade I got in trouble for various things. Once it was for criticizing her correct-the-grammar story (because really, how do snakes open refrigerator doors?) and another time for disagreeing with her opinion ("If you kill off your main character, you're either bored or unsure of what to do with them"). I vaguely remember getting into trouble for other things, bu I can't remember what. In any case, I usually get off it because writing is my strong suit. You can get away with anything if you phrase it pretty enough... In other classes, I get off because I'm quiet and I do my work.

I confess that I have done my pre-calculus work, but I had to force myself to do it. I confess that my mind is completely elsewhere; I'm anxiously waiting for something that probably won't happen for another few hours at least. I confess that I know I made some mistakes (which are easily corrected) but I didn't go back to fix them, nor will I until I'm in class.

I confess I want to break away from the internet and focus more on learning and reading and pursuing useful and creative things.

I confess I've written it (except for a conclusion - how do you conclude something like that? I have trouble with conclusions in general anyway), but I'm really not fond of it... However, it will have to do, because I'm not doing anything else.

I confess I (foolishly) believed that school would be no worse than last year, but I was wrong.

People got my hopes up and I was cut down more horribly then the last
I confess I am afraid of life and not looking forwards to being an adult, living on my own-or even tommorow :(

I confess that I think Veluxx is extremely soft and I like to get naked and ensconce myself in it. I have likely already confessed this in the past.

I confess sometimes I get a giggle out of the inability of my fellow aspies to pick on social cues.

I confess that my boss just offered me a lead position on another program and I stared at him blankly and nodded, full-well knowing I would turn it down on moral grounds once I talked to the people in charge of it.

I confess that 32 years of life and careful observation of other humans can teach one a lot about the various means and methods to the games of others.

I confess that I find this confession funny!

I also confess that I hope Graelwyn wakes up tomorrow to a bright, sunshiny day and her back does not hurt and she has a great and wonderful, cheer filled day. Okay, that was laying it on thick, but I do hope you are better soon. Don't let the truth about the many ruin it for the few good people out there, because there have to be some. There are certainly quite a few here.

I confess that I still feel guilty about a confession a month or so ago where I was just playing around and it was momentarily thought of as otherwise.

I confess I still have homework to do, and technically it was due eight hours ago. It's not even difficult, and I could easily do it here without stopping anything else... But I don't want to. I confess this difference between "want" and "should" is going to have to stop soon.

Thanks. I am trying to not see the whole population as this overwhelming black stain on the universe. :P
