Took cats back to vet and left them there all day
Met MR to pick out paint colours for the bunky
Took mum to doctor for her cancer check
Took mum to hospital for her brain MRI
Bought a Christmas gift
Picked up cats
Going back tomorrow with dog

*Day 2 of adjusted meds
I'm so tired when I'm not on speed

What do you mean when you refer to MR?

Christmas isn't for ages yet! :P

I assume you mean ADHD meds by the term speed?

MR = Ross, formerly My Ross

I can't afford Christmas all at once so I buy when I can

Yes, I meant Vyvanse

I have ADHD too (inattentive type), and as a related note - I tried Ritalin but it gave me the worst anxiety & paranoia, so I didn't bother with it. It really helped me with chronic fatigue, however. I felt more awake through the day (and often, at night, too).

I'm not allowed Ritalin or Strattera because of my strokes. They both increase blood pressure.

Vyvanse increases heart rate but not BP.

I still have my Vyvanse if I want it but I'm trying taking my Intuniv in the day now.

I used to just take it at night.

Isn't Intuniv the brand name of Guanfacine?

I used to take Clonidine, a related drug to Guanfacine & I became (more) depressed as a side effect. You should be weary of Intuniv if you have MDD (as you have mentioned in another thread).

I’ve been taking it at bedtime for a few months in addition to Vyvanse in the day. My doctor said I could take Intuniv in the day instead of night if I wanted, with or without the Vyvanse, and with or without the night dose.

It’s only been two days of daytime use. Today will be the third. I haven’t noticed any depression from the three months of taking it at night, except of course the sadness from my life events which is normal, but I’ll keep that in mind. So far it’s a lot better than having my mind go at warp speed and literally being unable to focus or process thoughts, like before.

Gabapentin and Benzos always make me depressed.

A relatable problem. I use smarty pig to manage that, it's a bank account designed to save for things like that. You tell it how much, when you need it and how frequently to take the money and it calculates the necessary payments.

Back on topic, I got my homework done for the week and it's not even due until tomorrow. I rarely ever manage that, even if I'm not avoiding the work.

Yeah, I tried Clonazepam (a benzo) for a while and it depressed me. I have never tried Gabapentin.

Clonidine actually helped with anxiety for a time. It is a difficult balance having something help with anxiety whilst simultaneously not worsening depressive symptoms, I find.

Clonidine sounds familiar. I think I took that for my vasculitis (purpura).

It can also be used a a second-line medication for Tourette's Syndrome.
