I can't say I know of a signature scent.

What helps you feel calm in stressful scenarios?

I can't be near perfume at all or I develop a 48+ hour migraine. I like some very much but just can't tolerate them.

What makes me calm: my support dog, my books and poetry, my fabulous pillows, stimming

same q (calm)?

Daydreaming with music (i'm probably a maladaptive daydreamer), managing my blog, this forum and asian dramas.

Do you have any autistic friends in real life?

None at this juncture.

Has anyone in your family considered you argumentative for trying to explaining somethin[/b]g?

I think my brother is on the spectrum but I haven't even told him that I am, and I think the info would just depress him (he already suffers from depression). I don't know of anyone else. I've met autistic children in the past but I don't know them any more.

I was only assessed this year and I'm so agoraphobic that I don't meet new people whether they are ND or not.

Re: arguments. I have been labelled as extremely stubborn in my written communication (letters of complaint, etc)., but I don't speak very often to argue verbally. I think my attitudes can be perceived as stubborn, though.

I've been sometimes seen as argumentative when trying to discuss thing with my mom  Still, I manage to remain diplomatic as best as I can. Sorry to hear you deal with agoraphobia, as I know of another friend on the spectrum and shares the same difficulty as you do.

Do you find unique ways to keep yourself entertained or busy?

Any time I express an opinion contrary to someone else's in my life, I am called argumentative, stubborn, crap like that.....that's the way the cookie crumbles :P

As for the "unique ways": Yes, I do. I was looking at a diagnostic interview for catatonic schizophrenia on YouTube yesterday. It was from about 1951.

Rye bread, or pumpernickel?

I love pumpernickel

Sorry about your cookie crumbling situation :(

Do you ever feel like you've already remembered all the memories that you can possibly remember? (If that makes sense?)
I had a memory pop up yesterday that surprised me. I thought I'd already accessed everything I could.

There are some memories I'm not able to recall whatsoever :( Still, I'm thankful for what I can recall.

Do you tend to live near a coastal area?

This was just a random, benign memory from about 1992 but it popped up clearly and out of nowhere. I was surprised.

I have always lived near water and boats.

I feel that at least 90% of my memories are not "remembered" by me. And I feel like I have a pretty decent memory. Many of these memories, in actuality, are probably quite relevant, rather than being mere minutia.

One time, I lived two blocks from the beach. Most of the time, I have lived at least a couple of miles from the beach.

Did it go up to at least 30 Celsius where you are?

Today? Yes, it is probably close to 30 with the humidity.

How long ago was your last general check up from a doctor?

Same question.

Do you find it better to read an actual book or read one in digital format?

I see my doctor quite frequently, perhaps every two months. It's usually for a quick question or referral. I haven't had a full blood panel or work up for a year or two. I think I'm due.

Actual books. I wouldn't read a book online. I love the smell and feel of books.

What is a smell that you love that other people wouldn't normally appreciate? I love the smell of wallpaper.

I like the smell of rain on wood.

Have you ever been to an Automat?
