The thing with the dating culture is that people just date to get over someone (at least, according to movies and TV shows) and they can move on.

I don’t have that. My family is not like that.

The idea of doing that is impossible to me. With us it’s just meet someone u like the loOk of, and marry. No dating. So I can’t think past that

O.K. laughing gas makes you laugh at things that you normally wouldn't laugh at , like being in extreme agony

Yeah and everyone I know personally .. esp when we lived in other countries. Dating was out of the norm. It was looked down upon . But it seems that is how people move past broken relationships

can't you be a little more progressive or would you be shunned?

And that is bollox ( Film propaganda ) , you don't get over an ex by replacing them , it doesn't work that way.

I was trying to remember what I cackled over and just remembered the most recent thing and I’m pretty sure I asked myself ‘what’s wrong with you?’

It does feel like you are starting to lose your grip on reality , I've lost count of the number of times I've asked myself 'what’s wrong with you?' ( usually internally but I've shouted at myself too  )

I’ve never shouted at myself but it’s also mostly internal. Like having a conversation with someone but not actually saying anything and they’re just waiting for you to answer a simple question  oh yes I answered that and the 50 others you may have. I just didn’t tell you.
