Hospital shows on television are fascinating

Just watching a show called Casualty on the BBC and it's so far removed from reality but at the same time I find myself wanting to believe that this is how it really is

Charlie Fairhead (Derek Thompson) retired from Holby City Hospital after recovering from being stabbed by a patient - March 16 2024. Over 30 years in the same role.

It must be quite difficult letting go of someone you've been pretending to be after all that time.

I"ve wondered that too. Specifically about Ian Beale. He's been playing that role since he was a kid. If I ever meet him I'd ask if he ever dreams as Ian Beale.
