Do you have to repair the bike?

Just snapped the brake lever but I have a spare, everything else is cosmetic.

That's good.

Unlike the old days, bikes can get pretty expensive.

The last time I rode a bike, I hit the short post (that’s in front of paths to stop vehicles) and snapped the front neck and flew over the post and rolled to my feet. Pro at landing - failure at riding. Never touching another bike

That was pretty good falling there!! !

I would never ride in the street---only on bike lanes.

It's only an old beater, parts bin special, minimum outlay, robust and the least desirability to thieves. Smooth to ride, scruffy to look at.

It was a bike path but like a sidewalk and has 2ft posts at the intersections. Plenty of room to ride through unless you space out thanks to add.

I was actually watching videos on self defense and stuff a week or so before and one of them was a controlled fall forward where you tuck in one shoulder roll onto it and stand back up so without that I probably would’ve actually been hurt  only got a tiny scrape on a finger and a scrape on my belly where I apparently slid over the post. I didn’t feel any of it oh well

I would say that luck, and your memory, was squarely on your side :)

And for Neil: I know what you mean. Some of the sleekest bikes can be a pain in the butt to ride....

There's nothing I've crashed harder than my favorite bike, but then it's for dirt jumps. Sold an old car for that one.

I always leave evidence 8)

You got leave evidence and still not get caught lol

Thats the way you do it, or just leave it on CIA level and all their do is experiment on you.

On a more serious note, in retrospect, I should have realized that anywhere there is criminal behavior, CIA is probably not far off... I hate I didn't think my life through before I lived it :?

Perhaps I should hide things in plain sight in future?

I had the CIA around yesterday telling me what I was about to lose if I didn't comply.

So I colluded with local sheriffs dept and corrupted a local officer to help me.

Now everything is hunkydory - no worries 8)
