I wonder if train tickets in the northwest of England are cheaper than in the south... because we get all their castoffs

Seems to be double the price to get from London to Essex as it is to get from Manchester to Blackpool...which is about a similar distance

I think we just get rinsed down here because they assume everyone who uses the trains is commuting into London for work from the shires so must earn a fat salary.

I'd totally use the train to get to London if it was like £20, instead of £80. As it is it's much cheaper to drive. It's insane, really.
