You don't sound like a smart Alec or anything.
What you say is helpful.

The depression is hard to shake.
On the surface I'm fine, underneath it's a constant grieving process.

I just picked up a foster dog from the shelter. She was so scared she wouldn’t get out of the car. I had to trick her to move closer and then pull her out. I don’t think she’s ever been in a house. She is very sweet, but It will probably take her a while to decompress.

Doesn't matter to me, life is without purpose and largely just vain actions with vain consequences from vain people.

A painful drawn out death in which one is reduced and feels humiliated , dependent on others, is definitely something to fear

Uhhhh does anyone know how to not look like they believe their life sucks? I honestly believe my life is a beautiful gift and that I'm wonderful to be around with. Has anyone ever had this issue?
