Yes I like traffic jams and driving slowly! I also hate changing lanes. Did not learn to drive until late twenties due to anxiety.

How old were you when you learned to drive?

I got my license at age 37.

I took many, many lessons. But nothing worked like having to actually drive alone. My wife, in 1997, had bought a car, and I had to take it somewhere to get it fixed. Both of us didn't have a license. But she needed a car to drive because she was mugged while walking to the bus. She bought the car from her brother. What happened to the car is another drawn-out story.

Do you enjoy driving? (I do, because I'm in my own space when I'm behind the wheel).

I can't drive a car.

I can drive a BR-47 Starfighter though, taught by my friends who opened the rift to the alternate reality where alternate reality TheAP lives with the rainbow colored kitties.

When I want to learn to drive something, I can ask them to upload it to my brain. Does hurt a bit though. The device is next to my Mandalorian armor and lightsaber.

8)

Same question.

Hmmm I always loved the looks of the N-1 starfighters myself although the X-wings are obviously the best.
Hey LoneLoyalWolf, what color lightsaber would u have?

As for the question...I like driving because I find it soothing to be in a car and I can just listen to music and be in my little bubble, but at the same time it gives me major anxiety because theres like a million things that could go wrong and I know Im not a very good driver. I would much rather be a passenger.

Have you ever ridden a dirtbike or 4 wheeler?

I'm pretty much afraid to do that. I've never done that. I was a cowardly kid; I was afraid of the monkey bars LOL

Were you afraid of the monkey bars when you were a kid?

Driving: Sigh. I love it. I got my licence in California at age 18. I have driven thousands of miles (km doesn't sound right!) It was also my little bubble of private time. I felt a little dissociated, like I could "be" in society moving around but also be anonymous. I was a fast driver. I only had one accident in close to 30 years. I was hit broad-side by an animal control truck. It wasn't my fault. I went into shock because I was worried about the dogs. This is when I was about 20, so there were many years of incident-free driving after that. I actually miss digging my car out from ice and snow. I've had ...? .... I think six cars. I still have one, named Emmy. Sadly she sits unused because the doctors say I can't drive post-stroke. I must admit I've snuck two short trips in three years. I won't do it again, but I miss it tremendously.

I forgot to mention the best element of driving: MUSIC. LOUD. ON REPEAT. Heaven.

Korts:
I broke my left wrist on monkey bars when I was ten. I required surgery. I think that is part of the reason I still use a splint occasionally on that side. This week it has been swollen and painful. It has been an ongoing problem so no, I'm not a fan. I'd rather swing from the chandelier!

Oh! I also forgot to mention I call monkey bars "mucky doos".

Monkey bars for me(and I think we are talking about the same thing, the system of bars, low to high, in our schoolyard) we a challenge like Everest. I longed to get up to the high ones like the cool kids but I would get stricken with anxiety if I got higher and not be able to move. I wasn't popular as a kid (the exact opposite) and this didn't help. I would try again once the horror of it all had died down.

Q. Did you have friends as a kid?

Not real friends, no. Just acquaintances, when you really think about it.

Friends who weren't Elton John, or my brother? Hmmm...

Age 5: Girl, initials CC. I worshipped her because she could do the splits both ways. We had a fight because I didn't believe her when she taught me that "baby" turns into "babies" (ies rule, spelling). I didn't know that rule and I was incredulous.
Yes, I was a pedantic kid. Her family moved away.

That means today. This is the 17th anniversary of her passing, September 14, 2001. I went hysterical with grief at her funeral.

I have antique furniture and 200 year old hardwood floors.

Oh so sad about your friend Linda!

My bedroom recently got a makeover (a year ago). It was all dark purples and reds and really gloomy. The walls are primrose yellow and I have no control over the paint colour as its not my house, but the makeover involved new curtains with pale spring colours and flowers and bedding pale pinks and kind spice colour (can’t think of the name of the colour). I have masses of pillows that I can pile on top of me if I need to and my bedroom now reflects a place of refuge. With the cat health issues (putting it politely as Possible) last night the old dark duvet cover had to come out as everything went in the wash.

Question - what is your favourite animal?

The animals I have had the longest and deepest interest of is horses. Then dogs. But the animal kingdom is of general interest and fascination to me so there are many animals I would call favorites. Basically any new piece of information of an animal would catch my interest. Even if I don`t necessarily show it on the outside...

Do you more or less seem to hide your thoughts and emotions on the inside(often without you being aware of it your self until too late) so people seem to believe you don`t care or aren`t interested in what`s being said?

In most case studies, I tend to do that.
