well, certainly got more atmosphere than the bendybuses they use now, for sure. but they're not gone entirely from london - they're used on some tourist-friendly bus routes through central london, particularly Heritage Route 9 and Heritage Route 15. there's still time yet to ride on one. save your pennies!

cheers,

Luke.

I'm going to do that, as soon as I get my job back, or another job. :)

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I've seen the design of the new routemasters, so far, I'm loving it. :D

They're not Routemasters in the traditional sense but they are better than the bendy buses.

Boris Johnson (the Conservative Mayor of London) seems to be annoying quite a few people too. Good stuff.

They look 100% better than those bendy buses.

One benefit the Routemaster had over the Bendy Buses was that the Routemaster never spontaneously caught fire.

I'm hoping that when the "new" Routemasters hit the streets, the original Routemasters on 9 and 15 keep on rolling.

I also hope that the old ones keep rolling, as well.

I hope the new buses don't catch fire, on their own.

It's been a while since this thread was active. Bulgy The Double Decker threatened to kill me if I didn't reactivate it. :P
