Anyone who is going to be properly unpopular must be out-of-step with popular fads.

I qualify because I don't have tattoos, body piercings, deviant sexual preferences, or common ideological prejudices.

How could one get more unpopular?

Hard to beat that. i just give no concern what so ever about mainstream trends and generally dislike watching too many things at a time. I could watch someone else's work or make my own..tis a no brainer :)

Yair. I completely shut down if there's too many things going on at once. I think it's a 'Spergic thing to focus (or be preoccupied) with one thing at a time. My experience of NT's suggests that their supposed ability to "see" many things at once is just an excuse for not seeing anything much beyond the purely superficial.

Thank you. :)
Curious!! I would have thought that anyone with a "nice avatar" would be well on the way to popularity.

Recently I've been very popular at work, or to be accurate more in demand. And if it weren't for that I really would have posted in here more often

Anyway it's good to have some time to catch up with events in here Oldavid and the rest of you. I hope everyone is well.

The main impediment to unpopularity is popularity. Popularity is a curse that can only be endured for a short time as long as you don't get to like it and want it.

Membership of this club should be revoked if one tries to be popular by paying Krafty, or any other activity apparently calculated to increase popularity.

I suggest that membership should be decided by (un)popular vote; the plebiscite being decided by unpopularity. Anyone who is voted for will be deemed to be popular and thus ineligible for membership. Anyone who votes will be deemed to be seeking popularity and thus ineligible to vote.

All in favour say "nay".

I was never popular to begin with, and never expect to get there.

I have to wonder if there is a V.I.P. section to the unpopular club, but for the life of me I couldn't figure out how that would work

Good point. I suggest that the Club should comprise only unsectioned V.U.P.'s.

Hmmm.

Maybe the thing won't work at all if it doesn't include a section for the most paranoid paranoiacs.

Or perhaps it should be reserved for paranoiacs exclusively.

I am completely sure that "even if you're paranoid it doesn't mean that "they're not out to get you"" is as good as you get in the socio-political world.

The irk is that 'Spergics are supposed to be renown for "unfiltered realism" at the expense of political/social convenience.

I think the Unpopular WP Members Club is code for the Intelligentsia Club. It's a conspiracy.

It's simple!!

To be unpopular you say things that are not likely to be popular... such as politically incorrect.

Unpopularity is a much unappreciated asset. With all the media hype about dreary celebrities that goes on these days the really important, unimportant, nobodies are completely ignored.

Unpopular WP members should be ignored.

Now, I think I have posted more ignored posts on this thread than anyone else recent so I think I should be called "Your Majesty, Supremely Odious, Incredibly Unctuous, Utterly Ignorable, Nobody. Vassals will be rewarded with ignominy.

I always thought I was unpopular because I don't wash and because my farts stink!
But then i rub and pull my finger and smell myself and I realise how wrong other people are!
My s**t doesn't stink
The people that don't appreciate its fragrance can't smell it because of their own stink!
:P
