I just got an old version of kindle, and after an afternoon of using it, I felt it was great, a digital product that provides an excellent experience when doing something.
I hope everything can be like kindle, such as a separate wrong planet browser.
Looking at this idea of mine, it is a conservative retro tendency, just like many of my other ideas, such as wanting basic styles of T-shirts, shirts, and pants, wanting soothing songs with clear themes, and wanting an unchanging life. I am a old fart, from birth.

You're going to roast a Farage supporter? (clever political humour)

I'm a lentils man myself. No matter how many times you have them, they never get boring (Neil the hippie from The Young Ones said that). Lentils and peas are from the same family. I like peas too but for some odd reason I've not had any for years. I wonder if they banned pea shooters? I used to love those. Great form of low-level bullying.

It's nuts that people at 40 years old in the olden days looked older than 60 year olds look these days

this is my own personal opinion based on my own personal observations and therefore is not proven fact

I prefer the orange ones slightly, but the green ones don't stick to the bottom of the saucepan, and I don't like chores so I always get the green ones. And they're quite nice.

Must have been a damn good casserole if you can still remember it after all these years.

It's probably because everyone smoked back then.

It was really good
My daughters daddy and I lived with his sister in Manchester's Northern Quarter and everyone from that side was vegetarian. I think it was trendy or something back then

Anyway she made a massive big pan of it one Saturday afternoon and we all sat around and scranned it before we went out

It's the only time I've had lentil casserole so that's why I remember it

I don't think I'd like to have it again because I don't wanna ruin the memory of it

It was advances in the cosmetics industry done it.

More seriously, after the second world war the standards of healthcare and nutrition improved a lot. I had free cod liver oil, orange juice, and school milk and the doctor did home visits for flu. Now we're starting to lose all that so maybe the next lot of oldies will look older again, if they even live that long.

That's probably a part of it. But also it's a fashion thing. They just dressed like old people. Men my age pretty much still dress the way we did when we were teenagers.

Mind you, better cosmetics would have helped. Anti-wrinkle cream, moisturisers, hair dye, dental implants, male pattern baldness medicine.......

Probably something in the smoking theory too.

https://www.today.com/health/smoking-re ... 8c11488197

Personally I can't see much difference, and I think the non-smoker has more noticeable bags under her eyes. But it's hard to see what they really look like with all that makeup.

Not sure about what clothes did. I think the old ones just wore the same styles that they wore when they were young, while the fashions changed a lot in the meantime. Much like I do. There might be more pressure these days for old people to keep looking sexy and defy their age.
