Now you come to mention it, I dimly remember knowing about those. Never had one of my own though. It was nearly all Matchbox. Corgi cars were bigger weren't they?

I think they were a similar size to Dinky Toys, but I always felt they had a bit more class and quality.

I love how Cacnea gives Sweet Pea hugs instead of fighting the other Pokemon.

That might explain why I was mostly into Matchbox. They'd have fitted in with my 00 gauge railway better. Don't remember how perfectly the scales matched though.

Well, what little boy doesn't love cars? It was just that Matchbox series and Dinky toys were the only ones I knew about.

Makes sense. I know my dad has described Hot Wheels hitting the market a few years after he was 'too old' for toy cars.

OO scale is roughly 1:76, Matchbox cars tend to be bigger than 1:64 (~1:60). Hot Wheels cars are about 1:64 when it's an American car and closer to 1:60 when it's an 'import' (Euro or Japanese).

IIRC, Dinky models were typically 1:43, unless they had a smaller scale line I'm unfamiliar with.

Never come across Corgi Toys?

I have a few Corgis from around when Mattel bought them. There's a Jaguar prototype that I wheel swapped; later releases were sold as Hot Wheels, but this one has the correct livery. I swapped the wheels because Corgi wheels don't look very good.

All the Corgis I have are roughly 1:60.

Sudden rainy season coldness and rainy season raining... And May isn't over yet.

Thus we here get too hot past midnight, mornings and noons, and too cold late noon to nights.

My thermoregulation is screwed. Well, it already was to begin with. It's just twice screwed than before.

A price to pay against whatever previous crap, tho this screw up might as well pass for signs of aging.
