^A few years ago you and I had an interesting exchange of views here on the subject of potential problems arising from doctors' poor handwriting. I would imagine it's becoming less of an issue now that much of the process is computerized.

The dates of the article and of the stats relevent to doctors making mistakes are pretty recent. But I've noticed the USA is strangely behind the times in some things, so maybe the doctors didn't embrace computers till after the stats had been published.

Crikey, is Emmerdale Farm still going after all these years or are you watching a re-run? They used to have a special needs chap in that called Benny, with a Westcountry accent. He used to call Diane "Miss Doiaane." But he was smarter than he looked even if he couldn't read and write.

As for Coronation Street, I bet Albert Tatlock and Ena Sharples are long gone.

But I'm right about those Coronation Street characters.
