Interview the person below you
I'd like to temporarily be someone who takes care of turtles, dogs or wolves, but I would only wish to be that person when they're interacting with the animals.
My super power would be to heal any and all animals, plants, myself and my family without fail including resuscitate them if I'm not around when they are sick/injured.
If I can be greedy, I'd also like another super power: to shape shift into anything at will. That'd be so cool!

That would be really fun. The only animals I got to care for growing up was horses. I love wolves, it would be really nice to be looking after one.
Your powers sound lovely. If only we could do that.
If only we could!
By the way, nice to see another wolf lover here! Wolves are amazing animals, yet so misunderstood... There are a few places I know of that allow people to visit captive wolves and interact with them (Bardu Polar Zoo in northern Norway, UK Wolf Conservation Trust, Northern Lights Wolf Center in Canada, and if you adopt a wolf, Wolf Park in Indiana, USA). I would love to experience that one day!
Woops, I just did a search, and found to my shock that the UK Wolf Conservation Trust has now been closed to the public and will just care for their current wolves for the reminder of their lives. They had over 70 volunteers at one point, if I had lived there, I would so have signed up for that. Why does everything good disappear?

LoneLoyalWolf is a huge wolf lover as well. I think they are very graceful and pretty animals
Wow I had no idea that was closing down! Ironically my brother wanted to learn with animals and nearly did volunteer there but in the end he went for something that was closer to where we live.
I'd want the power to return the entire environment(s) back to a pristine manner and remove all the damage done by pollutant corporations world wide.

Are there places that always seem to bring back a great deal of benevolent memories?

I'm an extremely vulnerable person. Vulnerability and emotion are very closely linked.

I know it was the project of one family, maybe it became too much for them, I know I wouldn't want to have the responsibility of leading such a place, and having to beg for donations and the stress of not knowing if I'll have food or medical treatment for the animals in my care. Captive animals with their needs and enclosures cost a lot.
I would have loved to volunteer or work at such a place (just not as the one in charge).
I've seen wolves, but only once, at a zoo in Denmark, and that was when I was a kid. They are beautiful, graceful and intelligent.
I have watched a facility in Minnesota on Youtube and via webinars for almost 2 years now, and we (my mother and I) have fallen for the wolves, two of them in particular.

Like you said it probably became too much hard work for them, what with looking after and maintaining the animals whilst relying on donations. I'm sure a lot of people would love to donate but money is really hard to come by what with bills and life, etc.
I'd love to look after wolves and lots of other lovely animals but unless I had a lot of money I wouldn't because then it would be unfair on the animals not having sufficent funds for them.
The farm I live on used to be a proper running farm and used to have cows which helped to make milk and cheese, this was long before I was born though but my parents said before that vet bills nearly finished them several times because the farm was starting to make less and less money.
Yeah, those places have a huge responsibility.
Oh, you live on a farm? When I was younger, that was something I dreamed about on and off. I have no personal experience with farms, but I have heard that it is very hard to make it profitable. That's why we see so few small nice farms and more and more factory farms.
Do you have any animals or produce at all on your farm?

Yeah I have done all my life, but it hasn't done any real farming for a long time. It was always really hard living on the farm because I was so OCD about dirt and during wet weather you always got dirty clothes and feet
I always hated that.
My parents ran the farm for a long time, I'm not sure how many years it was but to look at it now you can see it hasn't 'farmed' for decades. The old farmhouse I grew up in is very tottery and now unsafe to live in, behind it are the old stables and in the farmyard is where they kept the cows and also a few stone buildings which I think supplies and such were kept in. I'll have to get some pictures for you
The farm was making good money but I can't remember what year now (I'll have to ask my parents) but there was a breakout of Foot and Mouth disease and I think in less than a week or two it destoryed the dairy side of the farm because all the cows were destroyed
Afterward the barns and sheds were cleaned down several times and then new animals were brought in, but not as many as before, I don't think it ever got back to the way it was before.
The only animals on the farm now are horses. My parents buy them in young, usually ones that were mistreated, and clean them up and turn them in to really well loved horses and then they sell them on to someone who will look after them. It's a sort of retired job now as they're both retired.
I love horses. They are one of my favourite animals ![]()

Are there places that always seem to bring back a great deal of benevolent memories?
Yes, I know a few places that do that.
What is your ideal dream accomplishment for your life?
The UK has done well with its rural areas, and even their urban ones in terms of planning.
Even Stansted Airport is, I believe, right next to a farm. It seems like a really nice area surrounding it.
When I was growing up, I used to think of the UK as an sort of industrial wasteland. When I first got to the UK, though, in 1998, I found that to be way further from the truth. One can find substantial greenery even in Central London.
Do you feel that you could relate to horses on a deep level? I've known autistic people who have felt sort of an intimate (not sexual) connection with horses.
I definitely agree with you there. Growing up I saw very little of the UK and wondered what the rest of it was like. Like everywhere, it has its lovely places and not so nice places. But I think the nice outweigh the not so nice.
Yes definitely
I've seen several horses that became what I would call friends
Some were so skittish when they first arrived but by the end they were so warm and friendly, I was always sad to see them get sold on. I think if you look after a animal for long enough you both start to bond and form a freindship and a trust
What is your favourite animal?
I have said this many times before. My favorite animal is the cat, particularly the Siamese breed. I love Lynx points (Tabby/Siamese mixes). Two of my Siamese were Lynx points.
For pet lovers, which one of your animals did you consider your soulmate pet? Mine was Samantha, a Lynx point! She started my love of that particular type of cat.
I had a bond with a Persian named Zum Zum. She rebelled against being "shown" (she was supposed to be groomed to be a show cat). Instead, she transcended her breed, and adopted an independent persona.
She helped me out of a rather deep depression when I was 15. She was my only friend.
If you see a deer, do you have the urge to pet him/her?
I'm not sure if "Barney Miller" is in the "classic" category---but I like it.
As far as "no-doubt" classic is concerned: I like "Bonanza." They had really great scripts.
Frankly, shows from the 50's and 60's tended to have really good scripts.
