Well, here's a long explanation about my next book. It's called Annoymous X, and it involves the titular heroine [also called Ani, for simplicity's sake] and her life journey growing up in this bizarre paradoxically inclined [universe? dimension? realm?] called the Wayside. Ani is a shapeshifter [her preferred forms are a little winged white kitten or a tiny girl with white hair], and also has elemental powers, but when she uses said powers, she becomes whichever element she uses [for instance, using fire sets her on fire, using air turns her invisible, and so forth]. She is cared for by her six Personas, mysterious beings who simultaneously exist in Ani herself and exist independently outside of her. Said Personas are so far called by their Archetype names: Elder Mother, Elder Father, Mother, Father, Child [Male] and Child [Female]. Their names change depending on what Persona they are [for instance, Elder Mother can become the Crone or the Hermit, and Mother can become the Empress and the Earth Mother].
So, any questions?

Seriously, though, please ask lots of questions, as questions help me develop the story more.
The interesting thing is, I have known about Ani for many years. I do these daydreams called Imaginings, wherein I make a little avatar of myself and plop her down into whatever series I'm currently interested in. It was only until recently that I realized who she really was, and her story grew from there.
Ok first off that is pretty cool and I like it, now I am going to be nickpick (But its to challenge you)
Problem number one in my opinion, so she can become what ever element she uses. Fire, Water and Air magic is easy enough but have you thought how Earth magic is going to manifest itself in Ani when she uses it? Is she going to become a rock? Maybe stone might work better? I don't know that part seems pretty lame to me, wouldn't it make more sense to have her be able to use elements in a way comparable magic and be able to become the element separately?
Also elemental powers and shapeshifting? Remember one key to writing is to not make your character too prefect or powerful cause it takes away from realism, no one is prefect and when you give a crap ton of powers to someone and not give them flaws, its less relatable to people. Give Ani a weakness, even superman has kryptonite and the reason for it is this logic. I am not saying Ani has to be drugged out murdering psychopath but she can't be prefect.
Also whats the conflict? Books tend to have a conflict in their story, you haven't actually explained your book's story, everything here is backstory which is good but what events is Ani going to go through in the book? One thought of mine which is strictly an opinion but something to consider is you could have a conflict between the six personas, perhaps maybe a persona goes missing and needs to be found. Maybe some one is out to seek her personas by hunting their outside form and in turn hurts Ani internally. Maybe you could have it when and if Ani loses a persona, she loses a power.
Good start though,
