I wonder what possesses some people to want to work with feet

I don't have a problem with feet but I don't them right under my nose for 8 hours a day 5 days a week

Even if I take antisickness pills I still end up feeling sick and groggy after riding rollercoaster ls. It might be because I have perforated eardrums

How did you get perforated eardums/how did it happen? :o

I think they're just used to it, or they're Brexiteers. I can never understand why the USA still uses British imperial units when it's so proud of winning the independence war. They decimalised the money a lot sooner than we did, but that's about the only one. I suppose the UK will be back to imperial if Farage gets in.

I liked our old imperial measurements, which had a character and pedigree completely lacking in the soulless, artificial metric measures. I'm always dismayed at the way this has become some sort of political issue, eg with
some people seeing enthusiasm for metrication as a way of advertising their 'progressive' credentials.

I had grommets taken in and out of my ears throughout childhood, meaning having several operations. They did warn me that my eardrums will remain perforated permanently but that if I didn't have the operations then I could have gone deaf. I suffered with glue ear when I was 4, which made me almost completely deaf and could have contributed to my frustration I expressed when I first started school, as I couldn't hear the teacher. So I'm glad I did have the treatment for my ears.

Swimming has always been a problem for me. I like swimming pools but I've never been able to learn to swim properly because of the water going in my ears. I have wore earplugs before when swimming but I still ended up getting an ear infection, and I don't like getting my head under the water anyway, it doesn't feel right.

Yeah because I can remember a girl at primary school who had grommets or something like that and she couldn't go swimming

That's why I asked

I loved swimming as a child though, as in getting into a swimming pool. I didn't mind that I couldn't swim, I still had such fun and loved playing in the water with other children. But I just had to keep my head above the water at all times, which was easy for me to do because my anxiety prevented me from getting into any sort of danger. I was scared to get my head under the water so it wasn't like I would do it accidentally.

Oh cod I nearly drowned in Spain when I was a kid because I was under water in the pool and someone on one of them raft things floated right over me and I couldn't get up to the top

But it didn't put me off

I've had ear infections out of the sea so I won't swim in that
