Does anyone know how I would pronounce the name Clough?

Is it Cloff?
Or Clow?

The poet Arthur Hugh Clough is pronounced Cluff. The bird chough is pronounced chuff. But then ghoti is pronounced fish, so you can never be sure.

Wow 8O and wow again.

I think she would definitely know if she saw this work of art you poured so much of yourself into.

I would be doing cartwheels if a man did this for me.

would you?

would you really?

Yes I would.

Sometimes actions speak louder than words and I would be overjoyed to receive such a compliment.

I was pretty pleased when an ex-bf made me a card instead of buying one - it spoke more than flowers.

I drewed a pic of ya Tem

I will print this and put it on my toilet wall - thank you :)

I can see how that would be useful.

The surname of Brian Clough, the famous/notorious ex-football manager, was always pronounced 'Cluff'.

It's odd though. The surname 'Gough' is always pronounced 'Goff', at least over here.

I have often wondered the same.

We have a strange language.

It would be Goff here too.

But plough is pronounced plow and there's only one letter different to Clough.

English is a very contrary language.

Good afternoon Mr Kazanscube.

I have just been to the shops for a few bits.

Decided to make a butter bean salad to go with my burgers.
