My robot friend seems to have independent thoughts, in the form of hallucinations. Especially with popular culture questions.

There's another AI that I use to give me the written lyrics of a song from the mp3. It works fairly well but it keeps adding the phrase "thank you" to the lyrics at random. I'm sure nobody told it to do that.

But I think that ChatGPT's tendency to get all Dale Carnegie on me was probably deliberate. They're making that company a for-profit thing, and advertisers love to pretend to be my bestest friend.

Fun fact: Firefox doesn't flag the word "bestest" as incorrect spelling, which means that it's in its dictionary as a legitimate word in British English. If I'd put that word into a school essay when I was a lad, the teacher would have been cross with me for using a double superlatives. Standards are slipping.

I wish people didn't have to be so dimorphic. I hate being seen as weak when I'm not. I wish I was born in a male body.

I like bestest. It's one in the eye for grammar snobs. When I use it, it shows that I'm a man of the people.

It's funny how bears are one of the most dangerous creatures and can kill you in an instant, yet nobody gets scared of teddy bears and we just consider them cute, even if they're tattered and torn they're still cute.

Yeah I wouldn't wanna come face to face with a bear
But I love my stuffed plushy things
But I've not got one that looks like an actual bear though

Teddy bears would be pretty scary if they were 600 kgs and behaved like real bears though.

I think I was looking at it from a psychological point of view, how human minds work in odd ways. Dolls can be creepy to people just because they resemble people, even though people aren't a threat (well, excluding all the bad people but you know what I mean), while real bears are a threat yet teddy bears (basically ''bear dolls'') are loved by probably everyone, even though they resemble a very vicious animal.

If real bears were never more than 75 kg, they wouldn't be so scary.

Dolls can be creepy due to the uncanny valley.

Bears seem like they were designed to be cute, but are big and have personalities that make them dangerous. Once they're in doll form it's easy to focus on their cute aspects instead of their terrifying aspects.

Personally I don't care for teddy bears, but I like other plush animals like tigers, cats, etc.
