Now there's a coincidence. We had to take our cat to the vet today for a jab to control her itching and something on her bum that needs fluid squeezing out of it now and then. She didn't like that part at all, not that I blame her. She didn't like the journey either, but at least it was a short one so she didn't throw up or crap herself.
It hasn't been a fun day at all. I've been figuring out the answers to the questions on the US passport application. Some of the stuff they want to know isn't what a reasonable person should be expected to know. And I've already found 7 ambiguities and problems with the bloody thing. It's a messy business, and they've got no excuse for it. UK passport applications are easier, at least they always have been when I've done them. Why does the USA insist on making people's lives so complicated?
Also not much fun was having to divide a new pack of grated carrots into 6 little pots for freezing, so the shelf life is extended. They go a bit mushy when they're thawed, but I only use a bit in salads for the alpha-carotene, so I can't really tell. Anyway I had to do all that before I could prepare today's salad, and then the so-called self-sealing bag of grated cheese wouldn't close properly without a lot of messing. So that's half my time gone just doing boring, unchallenging, menial tasks. It's like being at work again.
