True conversation, circa 1987 between Isabella and her flatmate:

Isabella: "Do you ever think about giraffes?"

FM: (thinking I said 'Do you ever think about your ass?", but without clarifying): "Um, not really, why?" (blushes)

Isabella: "They're just so bizarre! Not just their shape but their spots! I wonder where they came from?"

FM: (blinks, and walks away) This wasn't clarified until months later when she said "what was with the comment about asses?")

Partially explains why I used to attend speech therapy, and why I'm now nearly mute.

Do think women think more about their behind than men do. Often hear women saying things about their behind. Society pressures women a lot in following a beauty standard, unfortunately.

Well, as a tall person, I do rather often

Do you often think about Koalas?

Until a year ago I always mixed up koalas and pandas. Couldn't name them for the life of me.
Koalas are the grey ones, right? I think about them more than pandas (black and white?)

(I have a weird lexicon thing where I mix up words that are often associated but not opposites)
- brush / comb
- silver / gold
- eyebrow / eyelash
- koala / panda

There are more, I could go on forever. I have no idea what this is called.

So no, I don't think about them very much except to name them.

I regularly think about most animals :P

Koala's are so cute

Isabella goes to the Pandas and does not notice the Koala between them.

Later that evening:

Have you ever seen someone stealing?

The most ridiculous - actually the only ridiculous - animal is the human.

5 helpful:

my mom
my grandparents
my pets
my interests
I don't know what to say for the 5th. Myself I guess

5 hurtful:

school system
employment system including focus on social nonsense rather than being able to work, and technology eating jobs that are aspie friendly
people in general
technology making everything app crap and digital
my asthma, allergies and a couple other diseases

Didn't notice the new question. I probably have seen someone steal something at some point, but I can't say I remember it.

What would be your dream job?

Principal Curator at the BPM, or go back in time and write the scripts for classic Sesame Street with Jim Henson.
That, or be paid to read the books I like.

Working at an animal sanctuary would probably be great.

Are you a misanthrope?

I have also been diagnosed with agoraphobia.

Don't consider myself a misanthrope because I don't "hate" people. Because of my psychology special interest, I do know the nature of humans, and I know what they are capable of quite well. The world is full of monsters, and they don't hide in the darkness or shadows, they hide in plain sight. But there are good people out there, it's just hard to find them.

So, I am not a misanthrope.

Same question.

Yes, I am. Of course that doesn't mean I hate everyone, but in general I dislike people and find them annoying, always have. Actual hate is only for some (personal, individual hate for those who have wronged me or mine, another general hatred for those who do other unforgivable things, like poaching). Obviously I love my family, and like a select few.

Would you like to go to outer space?
