I think cats are fascinating creatures, and I like to observe them. From afar. They're so funny when they see a bug or something, and they try to act all nonchalant, like they don't care. And then POUNCE!

However, I don't like it when cats come too close to me, or try to rub up against me.

Actually in the past people used to believe it was possible to give birth to half human half animal creature – or at least it was what they told their adolescent children to prevent them from bestiality. Like a story I read about as a child (no idea after all those years which part of the world it came from) about a girl whose by-product of her intercourse with a cat was a baby with a head of a cat.

I love cats because they are so cute and fluffy at times. Plus they do keep you company when you are alone of course. I do not mind cats at all because they give you a warm feeling inside you a lot.

Sorry I'm more of a dog person. Cats are too unpredictable for my tastes. I can control a dog that weights 30 lbs more than me somewhat easily (140 lb bullmastiffs that belong to my parents), but a 10 pound cat is totally out of my control.

I was pretty severely allergic to them as a kid (eyes would swell shut), so I stayed clear of them, never really learned about them.

They are cute, though.

No, you're being idiotic for not seeing it from my point of view. If a lot of people like something, I tire of it much quicker. Just because my opinion isn't the same as yours doesn't make it "idiotic".

Cats inspire such positive feelings in people because the physical appearance of their muzzles resembles this of a human baby. You know: a round face, big eyes, a small nose – the spitting image of a baby’s face. And people are programmed by the nature to protect babies and take care of them.

I personally don't care for cats because they often have a very superior, condescending attitude. I think they are very graceful and beautiful. The rare cat who just loves company and will follow me around the house and sleep on my lap is welcome at my house. The run-of-the-mill loner type cat who sleeps and doesn't want to be cuddled isn't my cup of tea.

Yeah, cat person.

My cat, Cassie, died few years ago. Had her for 13 years. She'd been through everything with me. Still have a few photos of her. Not getting another one--too painful.

I've always been sort of an outcast in my nuculear family of dog lovers and avid cat haters. Dogs are too in your face and unpredictable. Next to humans, they have the highest energy aura of any creature. If they are not barking they are breathing down your neck making a nasty raspy pant. Cats are better but not my favorite. They actually kinda freak me out if there is over two of them. I used to work at an animal rescue that had eighty something cats and it was so freaky to be moping the floor and having eighty plus cats staring at me. Domestic cats at least. Wild cats never bothered me. I wish my parents would let me get the permits I need for a tiger or at least let me get a serval or bobcat. I always felt like I should have been some sort of feline instead of a human.

I'm a cat person. I have a cat named Scallywag who lives up to her name!

I love that my cat can just go of for a couple of days and I won't see her and know I don't have to worry (she's half feral and very street wise.....or just incredibly scary...probably both!) my dad doesn't get how I can be fine with it, but then he's all over her and she can't stand him, where as we totally get on, I leave her be, she leaves me be, until she wants load of attention!

When we first got her as a kitten we nicknamed her attack cat, because she'd attack everyone. She's calmed down some now. Unfortunately mostly down to the dog that used to live downstairs. They used to fight all the time. He was really old and she used to tease him by letting him think he had a chance to catch her, by going up real close, then running. Eventually they fell in love and she'd give him kisses through the gate. But then he died and she's not been the same since.

When she was little, and before we had a dryer, we used to hand our clothes on the bannisters of the stairs, and when she was angry at me and my mum she would knock down our particular clothes. My dad didn't believe us, until he yelled at her and down his clothes went! She also used to attack us through the gaps in the bannister. She stopped when one time just by coincidence I fell all the way downstairs (I'd just got out of the bath and my feet were wet) she didn't come near me for days after.

We had a cat before her, who was able to mock my dad's knock to be let in (...not Scallywag, she tries to use her claws to pick the lock.) She was more my mums cat and died when some boys chased her on the road and a car dragged her all the way up the road. She was 4. I was on holiday at the time (It was one of the first times I began to suspect that something wasn't quite right with me, as I had to mimic grief and felt I had to in order to fit in socially)

Scally is 14 now and getting to be alot more affectionate thaan I can sometimes take (especially since I have allergys) but I love her all the same.

She love to eat peanut butter and gets an loving expression on her face whenever she gets it. She also likes chocolate and onions and potatoes-aside from meat.

When we first got her she wouldn't drink water she would only drink lemonade. She used to love prawn cocktail crisps.

She has a bed to keep her dry outside but she delibrately get wet so she can complain about us being cruel keeping her out at night (she can't sleep in my room anymore as she throws up on my bed!)

Have you tried a hairball remedy? If they're hairballs, a bit of the stuff can really help. Mine haven't had hairballs in a long while. Plus, if the cat sheds a lot, brushing helps.

If she's throwing up because she eats too fast, try giving her six or seven tiny meals a day--my mom's cat Maunzi has that problem and it works for her.

Uh... I wouldn't give a cat onions or chocolate. It can be bad for them... quick Google for you:

Thanks.

No alot of the time she makes herself sick is she's mad at me, so since I won't stop making her mad it's not likely to stop.

I know the chocolate thing, I only give her tiny miniscule bits, and since I've been giving it to her since she was a baby and she's really healthy (seriously, she's 14 and looks likes she 7- which is funny given the whole cats are aspie and the thread talking about how young we can look!)

Didn't know about the onions, of to check that out, but like I wrote, doesn't seem to have done her any harm so far.

Cats should rule the world. They are so much better than people. I could not live without cats helping me get through life.
I would own a cat world if I could afford one.
I personal helpers now number only 5 but at one time they were up to 9. I miss the ones who are gone.

I love my cat

I have another cat but he is boring compared to the one I posted above. She's very odd. She makes bird noises, she doesn't like eye contact or being held. She could stare at the same spot for hours. If you move something out of or into a room she gets surprised. Also, as a kitten she used to jump at my face and run like a baboon.
