No sympathy from me ( just kidding humidity sucks), but I have the privilege of living in a place that gets the most sunlight hours than anywhere else on earth so 115+ degree heat is a common occurrence. although it's been staying between 80-90 degrees so it isn't too bad at the moment.

Nice and cool, except when it's really bone chilling cold.

I feel hot just being outside when it's 10 degrees celsius. =.= Must come with my 23 winters... uh... Anything below is "chilly" and 0 degrees is like, "cold", somewhat. And ofc lower than that, i need a winter coat and winter furniture. Mostly my ears, nose and fingertips are sensitive to the cold though... <.<

I want numbers. Tell me the temperature and I will compare it to the summer temperature here. We shall see how hot it really is...

I know it's a cliche but wet or dry? I'm really curious. I know Australia is hot. My mother was in Perth once and she told me something like 110 in the shade.

Our summers are always dry (this is in South Australia), I hear it's much more humid north in Queensland. It gets to 115F, on the worst days you see it get to around 120. This isn't even in central Australia where the desert is...

I would take 110 F to 115 F dry heat over high humidity 90 F + weather any day. Dry heat is by far more tolerable. I'm a Southwestern Desert Rat who lives right next to The Great Dismal Swamp, I know.

I agree, humidity is far worse then dry heat. Far, far worse. Especially here where it barely rains once a month...

The last few days have been glorious here. Sunny but with an invigorating breeze. I hope real Spring weather sticks around for a while.

When I first moved back to Virginia, I lived in a big house on an inlet. I watched the egrets and sea galls every chance I could. When the tide went out, they would hunt crabs in the mud. It was wonderful to just sit and watch them. I always felt so peaceful and relaxed doing that. Fascinating Creatures.

That sound very relaxing to watch.

Kentucky wasn't really one of the first places I'd think cranes would live in.

When I lived in California at Vandenberg AFB there were a lot of Blue Herons. My (then) husband and I were watching one on our lunch break as we were driving around base. We stopped the car briefly because one was digging about very close to the road and we were curious. We watched saying "ooooo, ahhhh" sort of things, fascinated, then it drags a struggling gopher out of a hole in the ground and swallows it whole. :eew:

We skipped lunch.
