I don't know about that. Having a period every month, mood swings, being more susceptible to mental illnesses, physical illnesses, having a smaller head than a guy, and people expect a lot more out of me JUST BECAUSE I'm a girl, and yeah. And men can get away with being ***es and D***s a lot more than a woman can get away with being a witch with a capital B too. There is also prejudicism that still exists within the job world and other worlds, whether we like to think so or not. Just a lot of things. In reality, men and women both have it equally hard, but in different areas. Evolution dictates we are the second "man", less capable, as per the susceptibility to illnesses, smaller head, etc on average. But hormones get in the way of a man's thought process, and requires a woman who can think emotionally to equalize. Doing things yourself, by yourself, without the ying/yang of another is always more difficult.

In reply to the OP.. Accept it as it is.. I think is best. Dreaming/thinking about changing gender is very futile and will not satisfy the longing you wish for really, I believe. The longing is not to be the other gender but to be a little happier (the way you are), I think.

When this would happen than.... all would be fine?

I prefer these looks. I didn't mean for it to sound weird. I don't like shaving my legs, i hate it, but I do it so my legs appear attractive and feel smooth, plus other girls noticed and made comments I didn't like when I didn't do so. It's uncommon for someone to think a guy is wrong to not shave his legs. I also prefer my hair long in my life as a girl, but if I were a boy I would wear it shorter. If I was a guy I would prefer the appearance of shaving facial hair.

Hah! I would rather be a male anytime. Bleeding is disgusting for a start, and period pain is likened to severe kidney stones.
Not only that, though - I'm sick of being physically inferior to my male counterparts, especially as all of my interests are male interests. I'm also sick of being told I'm worthless if I refuse to be sexually attractive or interested in sex. I dislike being small, weak and frail. I'm sick of all the BS and sexism people put on females.

How can you hate being a guy? I mean, the only reason why I like being a girl is because I think some men are so sexy and if I were a man myself then I would probably be gay. Plus I like wearing my little T-shirts in the summer and looking cute and sexy, and having fit men leering at me. But otherwise, being a girl has too much pressure. Girls can't have unshaved legs, and if they do it's such a big deal, according to NTs. But having short hair on a man is masculine, and having long hair on a woman is feminine, right? But when you see a man with long hair like a women, it's still not a big deal, but short hair on a woman has to be styled in some feminine way, otherwise strangers in the street interfere and start the shame game. Also it's so easy for men to go on holidays - says every single woman I know. If a man goes somewhere hot, all he has to take is some boxer shorts, one or two pairs of trousers, and maybe a couple of T-shirts or shirts, and he can go swimming in just swimming trunks or whatever, without having to worry about no shaving. If I want to go swimming, (a bit personal here) I have to shave in the private bit, and women ''aren't allowed'' to wear shorts over the swimming costume whilst swimming - it's ''against the cultural/fashion rules''. Also men don't have to pluck their eyebrows, wear make-up, wear extra fashion (a top and jeans is trendy for men), all they have to do is put on that aftershave deoderant what smells nice, and gel their hair if they want to, and that's it. They don't even have to fiddle around with a bra, and they can go out topless on hot days. Men are eve allowed to look scruffy, but if a woman looks scruffy, oh dear! You'll never hear the end of it!

Like they say - it's a man's world.

I don't really feel like reading through all of these replies from nearly eight months ago, but I felt obliged to say that being a girl isn't all that great, either.
Nobody can really say which is better until they've experienced both... I'm sure a very large majority of us haven't.

Gender is an irritation for 90% of people in some way or other, regardless of sex. I imagine being a girl sucks in many ways. There seem to be more stringent gender expectations for women, which must be a pain; I'm lucky in that no-one really cares if I am a scrawny bookworm, but a girl that doesn't wear makeup is treated as a subhuman.

I have to stop you, because that isnt' correct. The amount of BS I got about having long hair was unbelievable. I had people stop on the street and shout abuse, and I was narrowly avoided a few fights in School. My (highly conservative unthinking) school tried to kick me out a few times over it. I kept it to spite the bastards.

Oh, that's not very nice for people to treat you like that.

It's just that I've seen a lot of men go around with long hair, even some with long greasy hair, which looks disgusting. But nobody really reacted or stared, and although I thought, ''yuk,'' I still didn't think it was weird or odd to have long hair, although I do like short hair on men. But if I stopped shaving my legs and went out in shorts with unshaved legs, I would get all sorts of weird and wonderful looks from everyone, probably even from small children.

I guess I live in a very hair friendly place, then. I've only ever gotten one rude comment from not shaving my legs.

I've never been abused for my hair. Of course, I've been mistaken for female plenty of times, so maybe they just assume I'm female. Personally, I like being male.

It would seem socially, that a man having long hair is acceptable, but in a professional setting it is frowned upon unless that setting has something to do with art in some way or another. It's actually something that is discriminated upon in a professional sense. Lace-Bane has learned that early on in life, yet doesn't care much since he is only interested in art and music and doesn't want to work in a professional office setting

Although he keeps his hair looking nice . It's not very acceptable on any front to have any length hair and have it look disgusting so he doesn't know where the long greasy hair example came from .

But in the opposite sense, a woman can have long or short hair in a professional setting, and as long as it's kept nice, be treated with the respect they deserve.
