Who said anything about trying to change vegan's/vegetarian's minds? lol I couldn't care less what someone else eats. I just don't like being called a murderer (and yes, I've fished and *gasp* killed fish!) when I'm not.

No one called you a murderer. Though I do think farmers are.

I honestly don't see how one is any worse than the other.

You called anyone that would kill an animal a murderer. Are fish not animals to you?

And there IS a difference. Do you see large felines eating each other? No, because they are social creatures that survive best in groups. They eat other animals.

On one hand, you're saying we are animals, but on the other you're removing us from the rest of the animals by placing this moral code on us that simply cannot be placed on any other animal. So... which is it? Are we animals or are we above them?

Ahh, OK.

Well, the biggest argument people have as to why humans are supposedly separate from the animal kingdom is how we're meant to be civilised. I have yet to see evidence of this, because - among many many other reasons - if we were, I don't think we'd need to have a massive industry for killing the other species of animals that share this planet with us.

Now, as I already said, if we were talking about hunting animals with our bare hands, that could be called natural. It still wouldn't be nice, but it'd at least be classed as natural. But locking animals up, breeding them, then chopping them up and selling them can't possibly be excused by saying it's natural, and as far as I'm concerned, it shouldn't be considered any better than doing the same to other humans.

I love vegetables so much that I don't eat em. I only eat animals that eat other plants because killing plants is wrong

Its the OP's decision to see the type of people they see. Its nobody's business what they get up to. You wouldn't like it if people butted into your business.

Live and let live  I don't care what people eat as long as they're respecting people's personal safety. I used to be a vegetarian and I have got to say the most annoying thing was sitting down to eat a meal with people while they're bragging to my face about how great meat is (they also shove the meat in their mouths in a very unnatural and immature way). At the same time, I find it annoying when vegans and vegetarians do the same thing with propaganda.

I hate this too- especially about the meat getting shoved in your face. I am not a vegetarian and never really was one. I just don't eat red meat because I cannot digest it, and I stick to poultry and fish for health reasons. That said, I usually only eat that meat once a day and some days not at all. I have been this way for a very long time, and people used to sit there and eat a burger in front of me, smacking and making the "nom, nom, nom" noises. I didn't tell them they shouldn't eat it or try to push my diet on people- I just would politely refuse certain things.

Oh, okay. So it's okay to mine for materials for computer screens and destroy habitats, but breeding animals in a relatively clean environment is wrong because we end up eating them.

Gotcha.

Sounds like you're rather fond of putting words in peoples' mouths, eh?

I don't agree with that at all, but a lot of companies (including Apple) are becoming increasingly aware of their environmental impact and are working to reduce it. You can even check out detailed environmental reports relating to every single one of Apple's current products on their site.

I don't think any good will come out of you teasing veggies with a "broccoli" sandwich, they are rather touchy about that stuff.

As for them eating only green stuff and getting malnourished, its their right to do so. Just hope they don't expect me to pay their medical bills.

Sure - i respect people who refuse to eat meat out of consideration to our fellow lifeforms, but the fact remains: we are still animals and part of nature, just because we have nano-technology, space vehicles and computers doesn't change that fact.
