That is a fallacy. EVERYONE feels pain at some point in their life. It is part of being human. It may be different than your pain but no one is immune to it.

I soooo agree. Everyone has trials in their life, nobody can escape it.

We each take something different from here. I found this place an enormous help in many ways. In fact, I thought it had helped stave off a crash. All the signs were there that a crash was coming - sleeping later and for longer as well as getting more ratty. Then, I had two great days. I put it down to the 'WP effect'. I was wrong. Today, I got up at 4.45pm and I'm still tired. Do I think WP played a part? Not for one second. I was just a bit dim-witted for having so easily clutched at straws.

WP can be depressing if you get too emotionally involved. You've got to distans yourself emotionally from what goes on in this forum, especially if you're female. Because you will read such things as ''girls are all f****d up'', ''women are shallow, lying c***s'' etc. I even recall one thread where a male member wrote that he fantasized about killing a certain woman, peel her skin off and rape her with a machete.
If WP is making you depressed you should take a break or avoid certain subforums that are making you depressed. Love and dating and the haven are the most depressing forums in my experience.

WRONGPLANET is a dangerous forum

with an all together atrocious decorum,

but you are either against 'em or you're for em.

but it doesn't matter a f*ck if you only manage to bore them.

they're much more interested in who is sexy,
and how to "score" 'em.

you are a sad case if you can not feel secure in your mind. my eyes see only photons, and i make of them what i will, they stitch themselves into consciously perceivable structures that define the greater portion of my world.

the world is full of things to look at, and as fast as you look at them and "take them in", no matter how voracious your appetite becomes for things to explore, you will never see even a smidgeon of the whole show. is it worth inspecting for a lifetime the details of a reality that is vastly beyond my ability to express?

i guess not because i am going to go to sleep now.
good night.

I find WP uplifting for some reason. I am trying to cut back on my WP usage though.
