I don't particularly believe in any such thing.
For me, alteration is inherently less-attractive (I wouldn't say "ugly") than naturality in terms of aesthetics.
It's worth noting, of course, that naturality isn't one "look" at all, it's a lack of engaging in certain alterations-
I'm led to believe I don't have any purely aesthetic sense at all,
only preferences as far as what traits rightly or wrongly connote to me as indicative of attractive character/personality.

Facial hair a definite yes.
I am immediately attracted to a guy with a beard or mustache just because they look like Jesus, even more so if they have long hair.

Well, not all beards, but most... They will make a guy hotter that is for sure.

I tend to agree with you. I don't see the appeal in piercings and tattoos at all. Same goes for cosmetic surgery. Show me any celebrity who has had a nose job, and I'll think they looked better before. But then, I'm inclined to be more attracted to unusual features instead of average ones.
As for shaving and hair, my reasons for doing it are purely sensory. I shave because I can't stand the feel of hair on my face, and I cut my hair when it gets heavy enough to hurt my scalp.

I'm not good at shaving due to low vision & bad fine motor-skills so I hate the idea of shaving everyday like some people do. I shave my face every few days when it it starts getting a little long or itchy. I shave my mustache when it starts getting a little annoying which is like every week or so. I think Medicare should cover electrolysis for my face sense my problems shaving are related to my disabilities & I think it could be potentially dangerous for me if I'm not very careful. It's a self-care issue

I like my men with facial hair as long as they can grow it properly. The guys who try to have a beard and end up with patchy fluff probably shouldn't bother (sorry), but proper beards can be pretty attractive especially if long hair is also involved.

Spongy - your beard is fab. :)
