I see tattoos as adornments just like any other piece of jewelry, piercing, accessory, or clothing. To my eyes, they naturally look good on some people(assuming the art is good/tasteful/well-placed), and out of place on others.

I personally think, for a man, I'd look quite silly with one given my gentle narrow face and towering slender build... so I don't have any.

The gym I go to(and it's just a regular Gym)there's not one guy that doesn't have a tattoo. not one! I'm the one that ends up looking stupid in there for some reason, and I'm still not getting one.

Some I like, some I don't. I don't have any of my own. Might get one in future. My mum has a thing about tattoos. Every time someone with tattoos is on TV she says 'they are going to look so bad when they are 80." Does anyone think about how they will look at 80?

I think they're generally lame. My friend had one that I liked the idea of though. He had a crappy tattoo, and when he was in the army, he got it tattooed over with a plain black square.

ugh. too bad he couldn't have just had it laserablated.

I think that would be worse. A black square is like anti-art.

or at least something closer to flesh-colored. I wonder if anybody has ever had a bar code tattooed onto their flesh?

Yes, I've seen bar code tattoos, usually on the back of the neck. I find the whole thing rather sad, and indicative of the herd instinct among NTs. I see ladies that are otherwise quite attractive, but have tattoos that make them less attractive.

You'd think that somebody like me who's into hardcore punk, metal, extreme horror films, extreme performance art and has played in bands would at least have one tattoo somewhere. I don't. They're expensive for one thing and I'd probably change my mind about it somewhere up the road. At one point I did consider getting a Jimi Hendrix tattoo on my left arm but I didn't. I guess, like scarification, it's just not my thing.
