"Did we just run over something furry?"

*When anywhere near me or ShadesOfMe*
"Was that a vampire I just set on fire?"

Are you a boy, or a girl? Repeatedly to the same person.

(another true story)

me: (having a panic attack at someone's house) "Could I use your shower? Cold water helps me feel better"

They said no, and made fun of me for asking. I had no idea this was a bad thing to ask. If it weren't for there loud and abrasive behaviour, I wouldn't have had a meltdown in the first place. Then having a meltdown caused more attention to me, then the ridicule for asking to use the shower.

All in all, it was quite the informative day.

... Or to that person's friends. "Is that a boy or a girl?" Someone asked that of me once when I was living in Japan.

Or how about,

"How do you manage to eat so much and not get fat?"

"Will you be my friend?"

Apparently, you don't ask this when you are an adult. Very embarrassing.

*Picks up a pipe used for marijuana*
"What do you use this for?"

*Sees a women dancing on E in a nightclub*
"Excuse me, what's wrong with your face?"

*Peeks over the cubicle to see two guys sniffing cocaine*
"What does that stuff smell like?"

*Constantly jumps up and down on the bed of a teen who's got a hangover from the drugs from last night*

"How long you gonna feel like that for?"

The questions that really annoying kid asks on the Talk To Frank adverts. The one with the question mark cap on his head.

"Why is everybody trying to get me interested in stamps?"

I asked this in total innocence one Christmas, when I had received a bunch of stamps and a stamp album in quick succession. I had no idea that it was actually a frightfully rude thing to say...

... or there's the time I actually asked my father "What's the matter?" repeatedly. It happened at the beginning of the 1991 FA Cup final, when Tottenham Hotspur, the football team he's supported all his life, were playing. I didn't quite get that this was an emotional time for him :(

"Why don't they say bad things about dead people?"

DO NOT say this at a funeral, you will be a pariah, moreso.

"What, are you all on your periods?" I shouted this when lots of women were in a frenzy around me in 8th grade because they were going to set me up with some girl who liked me. I had a knack for saying the worst possible thing when overwhelmed.
