I have a phobia against telephones, especially either when someone I don't know calls or when I have to make a call. It's more of a fear of uncertainty of who I'm going to talk to, rather than the phone itself. I figure it probably because I'm a deeply visual thinker and prefer to be able to see as well as hear who I'm talking to.

I have a fear that I could become sickly, if I was back down to 150 lbs, like I was 10 years ago, so I've decided not to lose any more weight. I used to have four colds and three flus a winter, when I was at that so-called, "Healthy Weight". I hardly ever get sick now. I'll get one cold and one flu a winter, now. So I weigh 185 lbs. The rest of the world needs to realize that "Healthy weights" aren't always healthy for everybody.

Getting stung by a scorpion. The little devils get inside our house, and they're active at night. The Missus got stung once, and was in awful pain. Plus they're mean looking...

I used to be terrified of a chandelier in my childhood apartment. Fortunately, my family moved out of there when I was 10. I'm guessing that phobia would have dissipated on its own, but I was glad that I would never have to look at that thing again.

...interacting with people I don't know in environments I'm unfamiliar with. Hooray for social phobia / social anxiety. Its gotten "better," (or I've gotten better with dealing with it) but that on top of other issues makes life oh so much fun. 8O

If you consider 22 to be young, I now have two reasons to not post a picture to the picture posting thread. :P

I used to be scared of the colour green. I would refuse to touch it because if I did, I thought something *bad* would happen.

Almost forgot, I hate clowns. Don't outright fear them, they just really bother me. Make me uncomfortable. If it came down to it I'd punch the clown in the face and throw him in a dumpster or something, but that would be after I involuntarily puked. (On the clown, if I'm lucky... )

snakes, which is reasonable.. the "unreasonable" one is false accusations.. just last week they shot and killed the owner of the market around the corner from my house.. i literally walked out as the guys who did it walked in.. i was terrified that someone saw me walk out but didnt see them walk in and the guys family would take it out on me.. where i live, people dont bother with the cops, they take it into their own hands.. theres quite a few blood feuds that have been going on for years.. but ive always been afraid of walking down the street and hear "hey thats the guy that did this, that, or the other"

Hah, thought of another one. After boxing donuts in a Krispy Kreme one summer, the smell of a plain glazed krispy kreme donut is enough to make my stomach churn. If I'm driving and see a "Hot Now" light, I speed up...to get away from that damned smell.

I'm sure your attitude towards those death circles would change if you ever had to put over 4000 of them into boxes in a night over a six hour shift. Coming home smelling of donuts may seem funny at first, but it gets to the point of being disgusting.
