I had a catalog that showed a large black dog,it had motion sensors and it's eyes would glow red and it snarled They had tons of cool Halloween stuff.I thought about getting that and putting it by the front door but thought someone might stomp it when it went off.

my fave scary novelty item is the toilet monster, you put it underneath the lid of the toilet seat, and then when somebody uses your bathroom they lift the seat and it goes SPROOIINNGGG!! ! and up pops a monster.

I've got a giant rubber cobra that looks real,I had it in a potted plant and scared several people good.I though about coiling it up by the door at night for company.....
