Wrapping my feet around one another and playing with my finger nails.

I can hear every tiny @^%@$%@ little noise around me and it makes me want to punch something. how do others stim to do deal with this? all i can do is move my legs back and forth and maybe tap something but nothing helps when its this bad.

I use ear plugs, they work well at least for me.

I can turn off my hearing aids and just use them as ear plugs, which I usually do as soon as I'm "home for the nite", unless I'm planning on putting the computer headphones on, then I just turn them down.
I either need to get a wireless set of headphones that will comfortably cup over my hearing aids or find a long-@$$ cord that will allow my currant headphones to reach anywhere on the main floor of the house.

I like humming my favourite songs, too! One time I was quite agitated at school so I started humming the Fire Emblem main theme. It helped calm me down, at least.
I'm fidgeting and rocking.

What I usually do I guess you could call some sort of echolalia? It's not involuntary, but acting out on the urge relieves "internal electricity" in the body. I also twitch my muscles and do rapid, jerky movements to discharge this "electricity".

An unpleasant memory enters my mind and I will vocalize some sort of expression of discontent, shame, embarrasment, or whatever. Maybe a word from something that happened or was said, and I say the same word over and over again until I have "discharged" the negative energy. I often do that with the muscle twitches/spasms/jerky movements.

If I don't do it, "electricity" builds up and I will have a meltdown of some sort. I eventually have to discharge, and this is better than having pent up energy and then have a short temper if I have to be around people.

^ Yeah, when I think about memories I tend to react and say something or laugh/smile/*hmph* too... might give it a shot repeating that reaction over and over.

I'm glad you posted this, but just in case you didn't notice, this thread is more about a "live update" of our stimming that is going on in this moment or has been going on in the very recent past.
