It's weird to ever see "Australian" described as an accent.

Although in my experience everyone from overseas thinks we all talk like Steve Irwin or Crocodile Dundee and that we ride Kangaroos, hahaha.

8O what, you mean you don't - strewth!

Never mind - sometimes I think people overseas think the British all speak like Hugh Grant or something.

I hate my own accent, though that's probably because I'm so darn monotone

I've heard plenty of legitimate accents. You all don't sound like that maniac(rest his soul).

Lancashire accents (apart from Blackburn), some Yorkshire accents (not the gruff, horrid West and South Yorkshire ones), Welsh, some Scottish and Ulster accents.

My favourite accent is the London Cockney. :D

Ya know, most people dislike 'common' accents like mine. Well, it tends to be a love or hate thing. There are a few people who adore my accent/voice, yet other people attempt to correct my speech. I'm mentioned this before though - just because I don't pronounce everything 'properly' doesn't mean I don't know how to - it just means I'm proud of my own accent and have no desire to change it to please anyone else.

Most people not from England tend to think we all have the posh upper class accents. I dislike upper class accents. My favourite accent is my own. People also always overlook other English accents like Scouse, or Liverpudlian. Yet always say 'English accent' as if we all talk the same. My accent is always described as common, as though because I talk in a specific way and am working class I'm a lesser person, when I think posh accents sound stuck up.

I like softer Irish accents and the good ol' Cockney accent best. Some Irish accents are horrible, so it's hit and miss, really.

I also like South African accents and listening to tribes talk with 'clicks'. I also like Spanish accents, I think.
