Who the hell came up with this load of crack and where are their statistics?
I mean.. okay well we could say this is true BECAUSE blue is the most common eye color.
Duh.

On second thought the Asian community is massive and their eye color is normally dark brown so perhaps that is the most common eye color. I don't know, point is I'd like to see the "scientific explanation" of this.

I think that was just a fictional headline, based on the actual poll results here.

aah, that makes a lot more sense. I haven't looked at the results yet as I haven't bothered voting.

My left eye is green, and my right eye is half green; half brown. Most people don't notice it unless I am facing the light and their back is to the light.

I be brown eyed.

I'm surprised blue eyes is winning this thing. I always thought that brown eyed people were the majority in the world.. don't really have anything to back that up though.

Blue eyes (gray eyes are pretty much blue) are common in countries that descended from European conquest (and in Europe obviously). I'm guessing that a lot of the members here are of European descent....

Less that 10% of the world’s population has blue eyes IIRC.

Interesting: Blue eyes are based on the recessive gene, except when it comes to some races (such as Tasmanian aborigines -- and yes, Tas Aborigines and mainland aborigines are not the same race) whose brown eye gene is actually recessive to the European blue eye gene.

My eyes are sort of greyish blue. (They used to be really blue)

actually, there are more blue eyed people than brown eyed even though blue eyes are a product of a recessive gene, it's because people like people with blue eyes
