I am so not fascinated by guns and weapons. In the states a lot of people have guns In the states people are killed with guns all the time. In Japan very few people have guns. Very few people are killed by guns. Coincidence? I think not.
Poison, on the other hand. That fascinates me. Poison causes so much suffering and sickness to the body and is usually a lot worse than being shot. Poison symptoms often mimic a bad flu or other illnesses so a lot of victims don't realize what's really wrong with them until it's too late. Some deliberate poisonings are done to the victim for days or even years because the poisoner just enjoys seeing them suffer, I guess.
And that's a very creepy and weird thing since I don't want to be poisoned ever, or do it to someone else. No, really, I mean that last part. I don't really want a dead body on my hands. ![]()
I own two SIG Sauer firearms:
--SIG Sauer Classic Compact P229 .357SIG-cal. Nitron semiautomatic pistol (2003)
--SIG Sauer M400 Enhanced 5.56mm black semiautomatic rifle (2014) with SigTac Compact Prismatic Rifle Scope (2014)
Sorry about not adding the gun-porn images. I have a head cold. ![]()

Then start a thread about poison fascination. This is the gun thread.

Boy, if we are to believe the media, quite a few gun-toting mass & serial killers were aspies.

Vastly different culture in Japan. Even if gun ownership was mandatory there the gun related crime rate would probably be statistically insigificant.

Sweden has 2 million registered firearms, distributed over 10 million people, yet we also have very few gun related deaths. Look at Switzerland, and you'll find the numbers disprove causation even further.
Guns are a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. I'm fascinated with nature, and I like shooting, so I took up hunting to combine the two. The shooting aspect of hunting is pretty expensive and not as fun as it could be, so I just this weekend completed an introductory course to get into IPSC, which promises to be great fun.
As a further point on guns and killing, how many little kids did that guy in china manage to stab? I think 28?
