I just don't understand why some people here don't like the way I say things! What's wrong with them!? They all need to change their ways, not me!
I know you’re autistic, but did you even read what he wrote before you reaponded to it?

Please don't turn this thread into another battle-zone for your personal feud.
I started this rant to blow off some steam; but if I have to ask that it be closed, I will.

I see you have built up quite a following of anti-fnorders if some are to be believed. Good work fella

Yeah , probably so. My GF had to put up with the "Girl-Gamer" effect with online games so she decided not to use a mic and it solved that problem. I have have no problem having my ass handed to me by a girl in a video game

I will say though that I often talk online and sometimes about subjects like this because of my inability to talk in real life. As in, I've never spoken in my life because of a birth defect that resulted in my vocal cords not being able to form properly. As such, I often talk online about certain subjects instead. I can communicate to people in real life through sign language, but there's often a bit of a barrier between people and them being able to understand me. I sometimes talk about struggles that I face in real life, like MDD and epilepsy and other stuff. It can be hard, you know? With that being said, I at least try to listen to what other people say these days. I also try to take opportunities to talk about a variety of subjects to effectively vary my uses of communication that I can apply to real life. I feel pretty good now, though.
You seem like a good person, PP. Welcome to WrongPlanet!

When people "shun other people's support," it usually means they either want to "rant," or to "just get something off their chest."
Depression can make people have contradictory feelings. They might want the help----but they might be angry that they have to ask for the help in the first place---so they adopt an angry posture to those who seek to help them.
There are times, I've noticed, that people disregard advice when given....but then realize that the advice was good later. That's why I believe that giving advice, even to those who are resistant "at the moment," could prove useful in the end.

There is a third option that even the moderators seem to overlook -- trolling. A troll is a person who submits provocative posts for the sole purpose of attacking people who respond to them. Most such people seem to find their way to the PP&R forum, where they thrive on debate within the looser environment there. Some post their crap in fora where it will stir up the most anger -- posting anti-LGBTQ hate-propaganda in the "LGBT Discussion" forum, for example.
I'm referring to the kind of troll that will submit a "poor, poor me" post in any random forum (maybe several in rapid succession), and then either attack the advice they are given, attack the person giving the advice, or both.
