"Europe during World War II"

Scandinavia was relatively peaceful compared to continental Europe

"Celebs are pompous jerks"

I've met quite a few , most are decent people

"Former Yugoslavia"

I never hear anything about wars anymore , Im sure theres many nice places to live in ex-Yug (and a helluva more affordablen than Norway where they **** you over with taxes on everything)

In Norway you have almost no selection of groceries , I bet even a poor african country has better selection , its piss poor (try to get smooth peanut butter , you can almost forget it

Iran actually have nice roads , not pot holes like Norway.......actually many poor ex-Soviet countries have better roads than Norway

Greece in the 1940s (watch the movie Eleni or read the book. It's an eye-opener about the evils of Communism).

Eventually the USA will change from "Bring me your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free" to "Don't even bother!"

If I were to pick a place in a developed country I'd hate to live in, it would be in the "Bible Belt" in the USA. I'm sure I'd run into at least one of those "Karens" I've heard about in Reddit stories who flip out at you in a food court for not saying grace before eating your food and being a "barbarian" in front of their kids, and when they can't get it through their thick skull that whether someone prays or not is that person's own business, they take the food from you! Because not praying is wrong, but rudely snatching someone else's meal and refusing to pay for it afterwards? Perfectly acceptable.

But I think if someone demanded I say grace before eating something I bought in public, I'd say, "Dear Lord, I had to pay for this food, so thanks for nothing."

In the developed world I would say Appalachia especially Central Appalachia or American Indian reservations. In the entire world I would say Syria.

I have to agree. Many people in California are religious including Roman Catholic, and morality is no different than in other states. There's a misconception about California being immoral or self-centred because of the movie industry, but in my experience it isn't. I can't speak to New York, though.

Why do you say that? California has some religion but it isn't as religious as lets say the Bible Belt which is an area in the South and the lower Midwest where religion mostly Evangelical Protestantism takes place in a lot of places there

Why do you say Canada?

I don't want to live here in the US once this country becomes a totalitarian nightmare...

I can honestly say parts of Georgia really aren't as bad as Alabama or Texas. Especially in North Georgia where Atlanta is. Georgia is indeed a right-wing state but the "southern hospitality" here is legit. People for the most part are friendly and have a sense of community. And I have come to hate Florida because it's a tourist state. Tourist traps are always full of rude jerks.

I love the beach, but hell I never even get to go to the beach anymore.
