I started getting gray hair when I was 18. I dyed it every 3 - 6 months for 10 years. Over time my hair started to go a bright orange (its naturally brown) and it became very brittle. Hair stylists were concerned for my hair and after doing some research I discovered hair dye is really bad for your hair and health.

I became brave enough to grow out my hair naturally. It took almost a year for all of the dyed hair to finally grow out. My hair still grows orange in places and the texture is not the same, but I've made peace with it. There are ways to style it so the grey doesn't show as much, I would rather have gray hair than permanently damaged hair that is impossible to cut and style correctly.

I've got some growing in. They don't really bother me, though. As long as they fit in with my other highlights, I'm perfectly happy.

Now are these hair grey. Or are they silver. “Mirror mirror on the wall “?

The weird thing is that, like many older Aspies, I feel quite spry. Younger, if anything, than ten years ago when I was really struggling.

These white hairs aren't fair

the outside o'me looks fair, still, despite my 6 decades taking up space in this hellworld. but my insides are like that dorian gray painting in the closet, about 40 years older than my exterior. if i were only still healthy, i prolly would not be distracted by some gray hair.

Dear Auntblabby a hug is placed upon that 6 decade old exterior, You have been sounding a bit fatalistic.
I clearly understand that pattern , but even as things are on the outside , if you can find something to be passionate about you may find things a bit more tolerable, am sorry you are dealing with such a difference in your inside and outside issues . Personally been finding these high and low pressure events ( weather) have a greater influence upon me that I even imagined .. you make great contributions here , just by adding to various threads here .
I enjoy your little observations and feel WP. Would be much worse off for myself And very possibly others ,if those were to cease.

I like gray hair. I always thought black hair with streaks of gray was very cool.

Personally I don't have a gray hair except for a couple of strands that like to show up whenever I get stressed.

I started going gray since I was 17.

I‘m 40 and look older than I am.

Think it is high pressure. But it maybe just the time Inbetween ,them that maybe the real culprit.

ah so, rather like how it is not the full moon itself that causes mischief but the interval leading up to and going away from it. i sorta remember now that when the barometer reads close to 31 that my arthritis pains seem to go away, but when it is closer to 29 i hurt more.
