No....but my Grandpa was a politician.

I have a distant cousin, I think he's a 4th cousin once removed, that is in the NFL hall of fame. I won't mane him because I don't know if genealogy records would make me identifiable on the internet.

Other than that, my family tree is mostly subsistence farmers and drunks.

If it counts my father told me my great grandfather was in charge of all the golden delicious apples that came from the state of Washington. Not really famous though. My grandma is doing research on our family so... Yeah.

A great aunt by marriage was a Prussian princess, ( not exactly fame, but a "name/title" ).

PS. And I once bumped into Dustin Hoffman near Park Lane Hotel in London.

Yeah. There's a famous (actually, very famous) 20th century writer on my dad's side of the family. I've learned the hard way not to mention him by name. He wasn't crazy about his celebrity. I'm not either. But I love his writing. I'm proud to be related to him.

My grandfather was in World War II and one of my uncles was in the Vietnam War. One of my cousin's has worked for a few movie companies and have appeared in a few as an extra and she has her own IMDB page. Now she isn't doing it now.

We had a cousin from my mom's side who created cartoons from .... can't remember the show but it was a 70's comedy I think that involved a duck! LOL helpful I know but my sister in law has distant family who is related to William Shatner!!

a semi-famous among firearms enthusiasts topic- i have an aunt who married into the gun business a few decades back, and they lost it all due to lawsuits, against raven and bryco firearms. while the good times lasted, they were fabulously wealthy. i am not a fan of guns but i think they and their companies got a raw deal for legally selling a legally available product that was misused by its end users.

other than that, my cat is probably more closely related to somebody famous than i ever was.
