Well he does have a red x in his avatar and he left his kats behind.

There may be a strong possibility.

Frankly I am shocked that Sir Howard Morrison claims he invented chur.

Chur is the correctly spelling

It's a word that is used in New Zealand.

Another Q about New Zealand.

There needs to be a "Factoids R Us" thread somewhere.

It makes more sense to switch over, but it will be very difficult, remember NASA's Mars Climate Orbiter, and their use of English units instead of metric units, metric even confuses Rocket Scientist

NASA and gringo scientists have been using the metric system for a long time, I didn't know about the Mars climate Orbiter, damn! 128 million dollars! 8O

This was a few days back, but just thought I'd clarify- COLORADO used the wrong system. Here in California, JPL used the metric system as usual for NASA. The inconsistency messed up the project, but us California Gringos knew what was up.

I work in the Freight business, which is really
mixed up.If you send something by road it
goes in a 13.5 metre trailer. If you send it by
sea it goes in a 40 foot container. In fact the
seafreight community worldwide uses the
Imperial lengths of 40 and 20 feet as standard,
even though they use metres for other purposes.

BTW I heard somewhere that the term
'Gringo' came about when Mexican soldiers
used to hear their American counterparts
around the campfire singing
'Green Grow the rushes oh ! '

'cause this is AMURIKA!

If we adopt the metric system, the terrorists have won.
