I don't know the etymology of that particular phrase. The Bible is 2000 through 6000 years old, in various part, that is why I picked it: the translations at various points in time reflect the vernacular of the time based on the underlying meaning of a base text. Also, it is a resource I have.

"Not thou, but I" would be my *guess*.

Re: comparing the Anglo saxon
Welsh shouldn't seem very similar as IIRC it's Celtic. Your best bets would be Frisian and Dutch (in that they are English's closest relatives). I would've guessed that Icelandic wouldn't be a bad match as while its North-Germanic, it is still remarkable stable over the past thousand years and at that time IIRC the Germanic languages weren't terribly divergent. Here's one for that

1. Eftir þessa atburði freistaði Guð Abrahams og mælti til hans: "Abraham!" Hann svaraði: "Hér er ég."
2. Hann sagði: "Tak þú einkason þinn, sem þú elskar, hann Ísak, og far þú til Móríalands og fórna honum þar að brennifórn á einu af fjöllunum, sem ég mun segja þér til."
