Amen, although it's punishment for rejecting Christ. We are forgiven for our sins if we ask and are sincerely repentent.

Trust me, from what I know of those who do it, taking care of an elderly relative, especially one who's always been abusive, is a far worse Hell than kids, no matter how bratty.

For me, I think a world where all the messages of advertising were true would be Hell. I've met people who can't see what I'm talking about when I say that. They scare me.

I don't believe in the catholic ideas about heaven and hell.

I believe in hell, as the common "grave". When people die they are resting, they are unconscious ignoring what's happening in the world, so they are neither suffering or having fun. They are just dead, unexist.

Growing up in an extremely fundamentalist home.

In the metephorical sense:
* Blood draws.
* Visiting my mom's husband's relatives.
* Having a meal with a group of people I just met, in a restaurant that has exceptionally slow service.
* Cafeterias
* Having a state government that has more allegiance to tobacco companies than to its constituents.

How about being accused of one, but instead of going to prison you're only blacklisted from employment for the rest of your life... or so it seems for me.

Hell would be George Bush being elected over and over again, further plunging the world in a bigger and bigger geopolitical and economic mess, while he and his friends progressively get richer and richer.

An eternal progression of my current life, without even the possibility of oblivion at the end of it.

Well, I'm waiting, and it's been, inexplicably, two terms already. :scratch:

My idea of hell is a place of emptiness, such terrible emptiness that every part of your being shrieks in agony, that every guilt resurrects itself torments your soul, and every flaw, every fear, every hated thing about you, is brought to like and seared. This continues eternally, as something that one can never get used to, perhaps one that gets more painful every second.
