i dreamt that i was observing a women truss up another woman's body for roasting. she had messily cut off the victim's head and limbs, and had removed the innards just like a turkey.
she was pouring yellow Gatorade drink into the victim's body cavity and trying to find a way to tie up the victim to keep it from pouring out. i remember it sloshing around. just like a store-bought turkey, there wasn't any blood in the cavity, though the raw edges at the neck, shoulders and legs were jagged and red with blood.
there were two other women gathered around and they seemed a little put off by this display, but they still helped the murderer to prepare the victim for cooking. they were sort of like family members who had grown accustomed to the antics of the family alcoholic - slightly irritated but inured. the woman had killed the victim for a reason, but i can't remember what it was - something along the lines of her being The Other Woman.
i felt panicky and wanted to call the police. but i didn't want to make the woman angry and i didn't understand why the other women weren't very upset. it was so disturbing it woke me up.

that sounds like a saturated version of real life in this world where people are inhumane to one another. my late mother told me a [supposedly true] story about life in the japanese royal family ages ago, where "the other woman" was brought to heel by the wife of a high ranking gov't official, and had her arms and legs chopped off and cauterized so as to keep the victim alive, and she was placed in the toilet and made to stay there, and fed just enough to stay alive for as long as possible.

in my latest dream, i was floating along the water and shoreline of a deserted generic big city. the sky was fair with some clouds here and there, and it was a bit windy over the water and the city as well. it was a modern-looking place with tall streamlined buildings chockablock, but there were no cars, no people, no sounds other than the wind breezing between the buildings and over the water, with some wave-lapping sounds against the shore and a jostling sound over the water. i just floated around for about 10 minutes of dream time, then i awoke. i wouldn't mind living there.

my late mother told me lots of stories from japanese history, many of them quite disturbing. i watched a few of her historical japanese movie vids and they were uniformly disturbing to me. violence and perversity and suffering.
i suggest you keep my dream and augment it to better suit you, as your personal resting place. when you are feeling stressed and blue, just to go it and unwind, relax and explore to your heart's content.
some of my dreams are peaceful and edifying, but most are less warm and fuzzy.

First let me say that I'm a die hard, rot in the ground, atheist. I don't believe in an afterlife, don't need or want one. I believe our bodies are sophisticated electrochemical machines and when they fail its over. That being said.....

In my dream, I was in a small open sailboat in the middle of a calm ocean, not a breath of wind.. becalmed.. just me and Jesus.. we stared at each other saying nothing.. after a bit, Jesus chugged the last of our water.. I remember thinking "What does he care, at any moment, he could raise a breeze and sail wherever he wants!" Then I thought "yup, he'll wait till I die, then off he sails" about this time, Jesus dives overboard and disappears beneath the water and doesn't come up.. leaving me alone stranded in the middle of the ocean.. with no water, no wind, and no one to glare at and blame.... then I woke up.. (really thirsty)

your dream sounds to me like at one time you were a believer, but were disillusioned. just a thought.

Let me begin by saying it's not my intent to belittle anyones beliefs and I honestly feel that without religion we would still be running around in small tribes throwing sticks and rocks at each other. I'm also not trying to start a religous debate.. I am stating my own experience with religion:

I was raised southern babtist, my grandfather a deacon in the church, I went to Sunday school and church on Sunday.. however I became an atheist at the same time I stopped believing in Santa Claus, the Easter bunny and the tooth fairy.. around the age of 7 or 8. I realize the prior statement may offend some people and I apologise.. I don't hate anyone for their beliefs and I expect the same in return..

Lol I had the Jesus in the boat dream again last night, but this time I knocked him overboard with an oar.. I told my wife about it and she thinks its a sign.. then this is the first song on the radio when I crank up the car:(I obviously looked up the video on youtube to post)

I know its just coincidence but I find the irony humorous...

I was awake, in a sort of Dalian landscape. Instead of all of his paranoiac-critical symbols, there were Special Stage objects. I touched the bumper on my left, and I was warped to a grassy hill in the middle of a beach.

I ran ahead, and was warped into a strange room.

End of dream.

I was in a place like Narnia. It was weird, there were mythical creatures there. And for some reason Salvador Dali (yes the painter) spoke to me in Spanish. I wish I remembered what it was.

I had a long and slightly unsettling dream the other night. Much of it's a blur by now, but I can recall one part when I was given a video game in which the main objective was to match an assortment of commercially successful doors with the appropriate doorknobs.

At another point, I went to see my GP over some immunisations that I'd missed. Don't remember much of the conversation I had with him, but there was one part when he told me that it was politically correct to refer to menstruation and the menopause as 'population control'. :P
