Liam got a new car. We went to the Nissan dealership to ask about a trade in on his old Sentra and the dealer started talking him into leasing a 2019 Sentra because he didn't have much of a credit history to finance payments at a low rate compared to leasing payments and leasing would give him a good credit history, also he got a Nissan loyalty deal.
Liam is pretty wily and ended up getting the dealer to give him a much better version then he one he was trying to push for the same payment, and to pay for the licencing which is around $250 or more in Washington.
The extras include smart cruise control (when the car in front slows down, the cruise control slows down to maintain a safe distance), blind spot warning (a light comes on when a car is in your blind spot) a moonroof and 17" alloy wheels with four disc brakes (the other had 16" wheels with hubcaps and rear drum breaks). So pretty slick and safer to drive. Reasonable monthly payment. Ahh that new car smell.
Leasing a Nissan is also a good idea because their CVT transmissions are known to fry after as little as 60k miles. The 3 year lease only allows 15k a year or 45k total (the dealer started out at 12k/36k) and it won't be driven that many miles so he will get an equity deal when the lease is up.
So vicariously enjoying the slick new wheels. I supposed I should take and include some pics.
